Priscilla was a great teacher, but I will remember her more for the things she did outside the classroom. She sent 2 international student/researchers who came to study with her to live with us. They enriched our lives and that of our young children. She got my daughter a part as a reindeer in the Pioneer Valley Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. Katelynn was actually too young for the part, but because she was so tall for her age she never would have fit in with the other girls when she was old enough. When our son was born I was called out of Priscilla's class to meet my wife at the hospital. As I was leaving she said, “Take care of Maureen and I hope all goes smoothly.” I've tried to model my dealings with students from what I learned from her. As others have said she will be sorely missed.
