I have been a high school teacher for 34 years, and no one had an impact on me like Ted. He taught me so much, but more importantly, he inspired me. He wasn't just a professor. He was a teacher, a coach, a mentor, and a model for the kind of teacher I wanted to be. He lives on in me and my students.

Chip, your father was a great teacher and person. He made learning fun. Few professors can do that. He will be missed.

Ted remains in my mind and heart. He was a most cherished mentor at AIC, where I worked with him in the Reach Program during the 80's. His influence remained with me throughout my teaching career. What a sterling man! My condolences all of Ted's family.

Dr.Belsky was the best professor I ever had.My years at A.I.C. were wonderful because of him. I have been a successful public school teacher because of him. I still remember the great lectures he gave with two index cards. He turned me on to oral history.
I have had many interviews with World War II vets because of his guidance in
oral history. I was always amazed how knowledgeable Dr. Belsky was in history. He was the standard I used in my career as a teacher. The world has lost a gifted teacher.
My prayers go out to all the Belsky's
for your loss.

I will always cherish Ted's profound humanity, his commitment to the joy of learning and his wonderful smile. He was an inspiration to me as a teacher, a mentor and a friend. Ted made everyone in his presence feel valued. A great listener, he possessed an infectiously positive spirit. His humility and dignity were my inspiration. Thanks Ted, for making our community stronger and for helping me be a better person.
