To the family and friends of Mr Bartow, I wanted to express my condolences. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived Psalm 46:1.

With Sincere Sympathy,

Dear Ruth, Mark, Murray, and Beth,
I was sad to hear of Gene's passing. I have fond memories of what a wonderful neighbor he was when you all lived on Vale Park Road in Valparaiso. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Joanna Bryant Brissette

I was deeply saddened to hear about the untimely passing of your loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Mentor, Leader and a Pioneer of a Giant for Righteous and Equality. The inexorable laws of fate decreed that he be taken from us and obliged to move through the Celestial Gate to enter that bourn from which no other traveler shall return. He was one of “God's Noblest People”…an Eagle of a man because of the supreme sacrifices that he made for his family, The UAB School/Family and around the world. I know you may be experiencing a void in your life because of this unfortunate season. Mere words are futile at a time because this is sincerely a personal loss of your loved one. We can only bow our heads to the will of God, the Father of us all, and say to ourselves; is there beyond the silent night an endless day? In the midst of your darkness, may God's light shine through even brighter unto the perfect day.

To The Family Of Coach Bartow - STRENGTH God took the strength of a mountain, the majesty of a tree…
The warmth of a summer sun, the calm of a quiet sea.
The generous soul of nature, the comforting arm of night…
The wisdom of the ages, the power of the eagle's flight.
The joy of a morning in spring, the faith of a mustard seed…
The patience of eternity, the depth of a family need.
Then God combined these qualities; when there was not another…
He knew His masterpiece was complete in Coach Bartow.
