Danny you will be sorely missed—both by your family and by your many friends, like me, whom you befriended and inspired. We have known each other since Jr. High and we were even talking about going to the Class Reunion. You will be there in spirit. But as you rest from your life's long labor, this great person, father, and friend should know that you made everyone that you met proud. The world is most definitely a better place because of you Danny Burns.

Dan treated my children and I with great kindness and help through many years as we lived right across the street from him. One Easter when I could not afford Easter baskets for my children, he left two Easter baskets on our porch as if the Easter Bunny had delivered them. My children were trilled. It took me six months to find out who had delivered them.
