When Maxine worked as a nurse on the hospital unit, I worked as a unit secretary. 'Max' was a delight to work with, always professional but personable. In the busy-ness of the hospital ward, there were few opportunities for chat; so I was pleased to read in her obituary of her extensive pursuits and accomplishments. She truly made the world a better place and will be remembered always by the many who were privileged to know her.
