On Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the age of 56 our beloved sister left this earthly life and has entered eternal life in heaven. Tamy was born on July 11, 1960 in Corning CA to Delcimore and Beverly (Williams) Hardy. She was the youngest of four (4) siblings, Vicky, Rick and Kathy.
Tamy attended schools in Corning where she graduated from Corning High School in 1978. After a summer in Texas with Youth with a Mission, Tamy settled in Corning. She married John Petterson on March 7, 1981. Their son, Timothy was born in 1982 and their daughter, Janice was born in 1985. Tamy worked for Sierra Pacific for twenty seven (27) years.
Tamy's favorite places to visit were Fort Bragg and Lassen Park. At Fort Bragg she liked to comb the beach looking for shells. She enjoyed walking the paths at MacKerricher Park. In April 2015 on an ocean trip with her sister, Kathy, she went swimming in the pacific ocean. Tamy enjoyed the hiking trails at Lassen Park. She would often go hiking with her childhood friend, Shawnee. Mt. Lassen/Shingletown KOA often times was where Tamy and her family would gather for camping adventures. She loved to garden and work in the yard. She had most recently spent time with her sister, Vicky, working, planning and landscaping together in Vicky's back yard. Like her father, Tamy was a Yankee's Fan.
Tamy is survived by two sisters, Vicky (Kim) Conerty of Suisun City, Kathy (Brian) Stone of Red Bluff, one brother, Rick (Lynn) Hardy of Modesto and her children, Timothy (Natasha) Petterson, of Corning. Janice (Matthew) Flynn as well as three grandchildren: Elmslie, Reverie and Malec Flynn of Boise, Idaho. Many nieces, nephews and cousins will also miss her. Tamy is predeceased by her parents, Delcimore and Beverly Hardy.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tamy's passing. I hadn't seen her since high school, but I have fond memories of the good times we had together, especially in middle school. She was a bright and fun friend. May God comfort her family.

So sorry to learn of this; may God comfort her family. She was a dear friend in high school. I remember one teach always mixed us up because we were similar and we were friends.
