SAN ANGELO Brian Lee Stanley, 48, of San Angelo, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013. A celebration of Brian's life will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with Russell Jones officiating. Brian was born March 16, 1964, at Fort Lewis, Wash., to Jerry and Colby (McCullough) Stanley. Brian was known throughout the San Angelo community for his selfless devotion to the needs of others, always putting their well-being ahead of his own. Brian's nephew and nieces always referred to him as their favorite and were tickled by his sense of humor. Survivors include his parents, Colby and Jerry Stanley of Granbury; sister Cheryl and husband Russell Jones of Temple and their children, Rory and Abby Jones; brother Craig Stanley and wife Michelle of Round Rock and their children, Emma and Keegan; and special family Kim and Sam Sparks of San Angelo. He will be sorely missed by all those who shared his generous spirit. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to West Texas Boys Ranch, 10223 Boys Ranch Road, San Angelo, TX 76904; or YMCA of San Angelo, 353 S. Randolph St., San Angelo, TX 76903. Family and friends may sign an online guestbook at johnsons-funeralhome.com.
