John and I are both VERY sorry to hear of Al's death and so sad it was on Christmas Day. Was glad however that he got to go to church and hear and sing the hymns before the event that he loved so very much.

I want to express my deepest sympathies to your family. I will always treasure my visits with your Dad. He was always the ultimate gentleman and greeted me with a smile that lit up his face. He taught me to always take time to appreciate the day we were given. He will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you all for sharing him with me.

My deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Doorn and of Mary, I just learned of her passing. I worked with him at the dental office in Cedar Springs in the 60's and have good memories of that time. Dr. Doorn taught me so much, was always patient and thoughtful. Mary and the children stopped by the office occasionally and I have fond memories of them too. They will be greatly missed by family, friends and the community.

As we've done in person to Sue, our much loved daughter in law, we now express our condolences to Amy , Melanie and families as well as to Allen's siblings. We're thankful that we had the privilege to spend the day with Allen yet but sad that he is gone.
However he is no longer "handicapped" nor suffering but at peace. Thanks be to God!
