Barbara was an inspiration to me. She was the soul of hospitality and inclusiveness. If you were fortunate enough to know her she took you into her heart and home. Her meals were delicious and nourishing to you physically ; her presence challenging, accepting, loving, nourishing your heart and soul. I loved her and learned so much from her. She was truly a gift to all of us.

Kelyn,Ross, Anne, and Laura,
It was a true privilage to have known your mother. Her independent manner, inquisitive mind, and generous spirit will be greatly missed. Her willingness, no, insistence upon listening to each person's point of veiw is rare in this world. She was a true gem in our River Bend neighborhood and in our Roberts/Wells families. May a bit of her feisty spirit live on in each of us.
(and yes, I have a 3-ring notebook full of "letters from Barbara".

Although we didn't know her well, this tribute captures perfectly the woman who shared her home and hospitality with us. Such a generous person. I'm so glad we got to know her, even a little. I know she will be greatly missed.

To the family of Barbara Roberts,
I just happened to read Barbara's obituary and I was stopped in my tracks. I only so wish I could have met her in person.
This story gave me reason to pause and realize hat we are never too old to change courses and never too old to keep giving.
I have this cut out and laminated on my bulletin board.
Thank you for sharing her beautiful story with us.
"She took me into her arms".

Dear Roberts Family,
I remember your mom so well when I stayed at my Aunt Margaret Robert,s house across the street from you. Your family was the greatest and your mom was wonderful! I had such good times with all of you and never wanted to go home. God love all of you. Thanks for the memories.
