Preslar, Benjamin F. 11/23/1932 - 12/13/2014 Jenison, MI Passed away from his earthly life on Saturday, December 13th, 2014 to his new heavenly life. He was born in Marshville, NC. His major employers were Reliance Universal (Zion, IL) and Guardsman Products (Grand Rapids, MI) where he retired as Vice President of Operations. He was a machine gunner during the Korean Conflict (1951-1953) with the Taro Leaf. Ben is survived by his wife of 61 years, Madelon Jane. Three sons: Rod (Rochelle) of Middleville, Dale (Sue) of Goodyear, AZ, Ben (Trudi) of Grandville. Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with another due this month. Grandchildren: Jason (Lindsay) and their five children. Kyle (Shauna), Tricia (Doug) Shaffer, their two children, Tracy (Andy) Little, their two children, Benjamin II (Kele) and Glen Preslar. Also, a special sister Frances Blalock, Lancaster, SC, brother Graham (Judy) and sister Nellie Yount, Marshville, NC. Three sisters-in-law: Doris, Monroe, NC, Olene, Marshville, NC and Thelma, Ruffin, NC, as well as many special nieces and nephews. Ben was preceded in death by his 10 year old son, Glen, as well as his parents and three sisters and six brothers. Visitation and memorial service will be held at Fellowship Reformed Church in Hudsonville on Thursday, December 18th at 2:00 pm. Rev. Mike Van Buren and Shawn Hulst will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17th from 6-8 pm and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Faith Hospice, Fellowship Reformed Church Building Fund, or to a charity of your choice.
