Dr.B was our family doctor when I was a child and when I moved back to Grand Rapids, he delivered my youngest child. Never being one to like going to the doctor, I could always know that the experience would be "painless" at Dr. B's - wish there were more like him. He will be missed.
Dr. Barofsky was our family doctor until he left the practice at Alger & Eastern. I remember the posters of ski slopes that he had on the ceiling over the exam table, and his pretzel jar, which he would open for us after our appointment was over for "being such a big girl!" What a busy, full life he lived, using his skills to help others for so many years! You have my sympathy in the loss of such a dear father and grandfather.
Fred and I had some good and funny trips with Jerry and Betty. We remember both of them with love.
To the family we offer our sympathy and our hope that soon they will remember the good times.
A legacy of kindness, many fun memories, and a beautiful family. Salute Dr. B.
I am deeply sorry to hear of the death of Uncle Gerry.
We all loved him very much. His kindness and sense of humor
will be missed.
Dear Cousins, We have lost contact over the years but I do have wonderful memories of you and your Dad...He was the best. He had a great sense of humor and was so generous. Peter and I stayed with him on our honeymoon and then again years later with Phoebe and Charlotte. He enjoyed life, loved good food - and made us some fabulous oysters- He was the best brother that my mother ever had and was certain of that! I am sorry that so many years have gone by and I have not been in touch. I hold a special place in my heart for him and send much love to you all...
To the Barofsky Family.

My condolances go out to you and your families. Your dad delivered all seven of us kids. He was a remarkable man. People out in the Coopersville area certainly kept him busy. May he rest in peace. Be very proud of your dad. Sincerly, Jan Mead Hoogewind
Dear Jerry, Betsy and Sibs: Fond memories of the B. family go back to the times we shared at Woodcliff School in the 1960's. Your parents were delightful but now your father has gone, leaving you as a major part of his legacy. My sincere sympathy to you in your loss.

What fond memories I have of this special Dr. and Friend / then he delivered my four son's / made house calls / and took good care of my husband !!! Way back in the 50's and 60's.
So sorry to hear about Dr Barofsky. He delivered my first baby in 1972. He was an awesome man.
Gerry & I practiced together for several years before he & Betty left for the west coast. Norma & I have many fond memories of him.
Dr. Barofsky was our family Dr. when I was a very little girl. My mother told stories of how he did "house calls" way back when. One of her stories was of him drawing a little face on my toe sticking out of a hole in my sleeper pajamas. What a kind compassionate man he was. ALL of his children / grandchildren were blessed to have had this man as their dad. Just a FYI...I am now 62 years old and I was touched to read of his passing....he sure impacted many, many lives. Very Sincerely, Deborah Nowack Baumgartner.
May all your memories help comfort you In your sorrow. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
