This is a late sympathy due to loosing touch with Joe since he left Florida 1 1/2 years ago. We've known Joe & Nelda since 1983. They lived at Maple Leaf Park near our parents. We're so sadden of Joe's passing. We'll remember his wit, golf, kindness, and University of Michigan stories.
All our love, Lynne & Bob Seif, Venice FL
I was so sorry to hear about Joe, but now he can be reunited with Nelda, as I know how much he missed her. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you in this time of sadness. Love, Helen
Favorite memories are: sitting on the shoe of the tallest man I ever met as he walked with me holding on to his leg getting a free ride up the stairs in the GR homestead on Millbank, Joe, Nelda, Dick, Nancy and Bee playing cards at Thanksgiving, Joe taking me fishing... just the two of us at Blue Lake. Really feeling what it was like to dance... he was good! Getting to call him Joey as did Nellie and trading emails and wits with him from Florida. I think he might say the key to his long lived life would be 1 drink every night, 2 small scoops of vanilla ice cream before bed, 3 times a week golf, 4 daughters, 5 touchdowns each week for the Wolverines, 6 feet of loyalty to work and family, and loving, patient, wise, beautiful wife. I had the best aunt and uncle any kid could ever want... for a billion more reasons, xo Debby
Lynn and Dale I am so sorry for your loss from all you have told me about your dad he was a fantastic man and is reunited with his beautiful wife.
I can't think of Joe without Nelda. They were the most together couple I know. When I was a skinny little pre teener with big glasses and crooked teeth Joe brought his Glen Miller records up to the cottage. Joe taught me how to dance and Nelda told me I looked great in a bathing suit. We took turns dancing. That summer brought a lifetime of affection for Joe and Nelda. I will always miss them.
The best memories that I have was when Joe brought Nelda to "THE COTTAGE" to join the family.I think I was 12 at the time. Nelda fit into the family as though she had been in training for the position. We were all so pleased and proud that Joe had been so lucky to find her.I for one, will miss Joe as the ranking male in the family...he was my BIG cousin.
Joe a great neighbor and dear friend. He will be missed as was Nelda.

You know our love is with you all at this difficult time. I think Joe (and Nelda) are flying with their favorite birds now. :)
Be at Pease, Joy comes in the morning.
Take comfort in knowing that now you have two special guardian angels to watch over you.
