Dear Family, David emboldened my journey toward becoming a full-time photographer just after I came back to G.R. with my tail between my legs, from a failed attempt to live in Chicago (hated it!) and pursue a master's in photography at the Illinois Institute of Technology: School of Design. He was an encouragement in the craft and liked to dream about what could be! I went on to work in photojournalism, spent 10 years as a corporate photographer at Butterworth Hospital and had my own commercial photography business for several years doing annual reports, location work and editorial photography for magazines. He moved me further along that dream and I was paid to work in David's dye transfer process, something I had planned on studying at the Institute. I now live in a log cabin near Reed City with my wife Rhoda. Wish I knew he was up in Northport! We were up there a few months ago. I would have like to have connected. Thank you David for your commitment to the craft!
