Dear Family,
One of my favorite memories is walking to John Ball Park in the winter with ice skates on. There was one year when I was 9 or 10, we had shoes, and boots stolen from the arena, and mom said wear your skates to the park I can'nt afford replacing shoes or boots... We stopped in at Uncle Don & Aunt Dorothys house for a break.... Uncle Don gave me a dime for hot chocolate when I got too cold.... I was the only one who got hot chocolate, yes I did share..

My other special memory was so many years later...My youngest daughter was playin soft ball in Sparta.. Who is on her team Rachel her cousin..Having Uncle Don and Aunt Dorothy at those games was a win, win, for me... My favorite Uncle, at these games. I know his grandchildren will truely miss this special man, those are huge shoes to fill..

I wanted to share today for Uncle Don's service, but it was a difficult day. We lived on Gold Street, Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Don lived on Fulton St. just a few blocks for John Ball Park. We used to walk to the park to skate, our shoes or boots would get stolen. Our Mom had enough of us coming home without shoes, so she had us wear our skates to the park. I remember stopping to my aunt and uncles house, Uncle Don would always gine me ten cents for a cup of hot chocolate. I felt so special...a memory I'll have with me....Thank you Uncle.
