Nancy Hickey

Nancy and I have known each other a long time; memories from the salon time together are precious to me....most recently that "high five" smile and greeting she gave me when we met walking the Ionia sidewalks. She is a very special human being and will be missed by countless people. Blessings to her family

My prayers to her family. As I know they are, they should be very proud of Nancy. She was an awesome hard working and such a caring person who will be missed by many. I will miss my visits with her at the office and at county conferences. When I first started going to conferences as a new vendor, she introduced me to many of the fellow treasurers and really made me feel welcome. I will always remember her as a great mentor and wonderful friend.

I had worked with Nancy, while she was county Treasurer, for a few years, as a technical consultant with Ionia County from 2002 - 2007. She kept a fantastic department, and she always had my complete professional respect. A competent, compassionate, respectful lady. It warms my heart to know she was Catholic. God bless her family - She'll be on my mind and in my prayers for a good long while.
