Mary, I recently learned of Dick's passing. It gave me pause to remember a fine man always ready with a warm smile and kind word. We were blessed to have you as neighbors, ever willing to forgive our children's foibles. Dick made a difference in our lives and he will be missed.

I have fond memories of RT taking us on mission trips. He was a joy to be around and he will be missed.

Dear Mary and Family:
'R.T.' was one of the finest men I have ever known (even though he was bathed in maize and blue!)

R.T. 'adopted' us as a part of his family. He gave me the cherished gift of his time through every phone call. We talked frequently, the call most often dialed from his end. He had the rare ability to send sunshine through a phone line and a knack for knowing when my day dreary and in need of his eternal cheer. He never missed my birthday nor that of my daughter, as they shared the same birth date.

He maintained unwaivering support of high school sports, especially the women's programs. He glowed when sharing the accomplishments of his grandchildren. He was known to purchase a whole bucket of blooms to be handed to each girl at the end of their game, but insisted acknowledgement of the giver remain anonymous.

As a runner, I often silently dedicated my race to him, wishing him better health. His heart might have become physically weak as time passed, but maybe it was because he shared so much of it with those around him.

I will miss him very much. Hail, Hail to Richard T. Brown.
