Bob was a business friend of mine who became a personal friend as well. He was a first-class funeral director and a savvy businessman. And he was always fun to be with. His outlook and his humor were marvelous. We had great times together at the funeral home on Cherry St. and at the new one in Cascade. Bob enjoyed people, being around them and getting to know them. No matter where we went for lunch, the Schnitzelbank, the Country Club, the Red Hot, or Forest HIlls Inn Bob always seemed to know at least half the people there. I will always enjoy my memories of Bob as a customer of Batesville Casket Company and especially as a friend. He was a joy to know.
