Inga Weeks Obituary

WEEKS - Inga Weeks, age 84, of Murray Lake, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bruce; daughter, Barbara (Raymond) Zandstra; sisters, Taudi (Ervin) Zeigler and Sigrid Sidel both of Frankfurt, Germany; grandchildren, Kim (Mike) Harding, Ryan (Chayo) Gould; great-grandchildren, Jordan Harding, Jacob, Brayden and Gavin Gould; brother-in-law, Vic Weeks. In 1948 she came to the United States and was very proud to earn her American citizenship eight months later. Her membership in Eastern Star, for 50 years, gave her confidence throughout her life. Inga enjoyed cooking, bowling, dancing, church choir, camping and fishing throughout Michigan, Fall color tours, occasional trips to the casinos and most of all, her family. She was truly good to the people in her life. Her legacy of love for her family and compassion for those less fortunate will live on in those who have known and loved her. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, Rev. Dean Bailey of Bowne Center United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook SE, Suite 300, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546. Roth-Gerst

Having only seen Inga a few times over the years, and knowing she was a member of our Chapter OES, Inga must have been a wonderful and helpful Wife, Mother, Grandmother Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and all around Great Woman. My sincere condolences to your entire family for your loss, but yet, also be happy for the memories which can be shared from the enrichment of your life this Star had to offer.
