I am so sorry to hear of Lori's passing. She was always wonderfully helpful to myself and other attorneys who practiced in the Court of Appeals. Rest in peace, Lori. In paradisum de ducant te angeli.

When I started my job as an attorney at the Court of Appeals in Grand Rapids, Lori worked in the Clerk's Office. I was new to Grand Rapids. Lori and I became friends and she was so kind, friendly, and helpful. She helped me get familiar with Grand Rapids and we had alot of good times, both being single at the time. We both eventually got married and had children, and were able to share the milestones of our marriages and our childrens' lives from a distance. Our friendship has lasted over the years and miles, and my life is more meaningful and joyful having had Lori in it. I will miss you Lori and thank you very much for enriching my life.

A very long time ago when we were very young kids, (my cousin) Lori and her sister Jo Marie and I ,we would plan a day to get together and meet each other half way by walking (our parents live near by) and then we would walk to a restaurant which was not far from Lori's parents house at that time there was a restaurant named Fabel's. This restaurant had a Lollipop tree inside at that was display at the front window. We each would order a cookie and a glass of water and we made sure we sat next to that candy tree so we could take several lollipops home with use. I think we thought we where sneaky and smart back then but, in retrospect I think the restaurant owner knew what we were doing and they never sad anything to use. We had many great times growing up together. I have so many fun memories of her. I'm so sorry that cancer took her away from your loved ones, but Lori you will always be remembered with you kindness and your big bright smile that you have. May you rest peacefully. with Love, your cousin Mary.
