Dear family of Mark, As a student of Dick's at Sylvan Christian, he is remembered for "give me five", being fun-loving, active and outgoing. I never knew Mark, but I knew Mark's sister, Heidi, as one of my brilliant, special Calvin College students. I always enjoy seeing Mark's parents at coffee on Sat. mornings. And I've heard wonderful accolades about Kirsten who is a special friend of Matthew, whom we know WELL! So to this wonderful family, may the God who claims us apples of His eye, and who keeps us both day and night keep you surrounded by peace and comfort and love.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends during this difficult time. There are no words that can describe the pain of losing someone so beloved. ANOTHER of my EAGLE '85 CLASSMATES DIES too young:I high school..Mark was always friendly, happy... great guy..not a close friend of mine, but of course you know almost all of your classmates a little bit after 3 years together. 52 is too young to die, but we trust he's in a better place now.
