Accept my condolences in the passing of Melvin. At the Postal Service, I worked under his supervision on Tour 3. Melvin was wonderful and understandable to me while I was a clerk. Also, he was willing to take time to write me of instructions. Thanks be to God for his patience with me.

David, Beverly and Family,
Please accept our condolences in the passing of your father. Melvin inspired many to find out more about their heritage, I was one. His historical presentations at the Allen Family Reunion are legendary. Melvin will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
