Dear Susan,
Unfortunately I did not have the chance to get to know your mom. However, after reading about her it is easy to see where you get your grace and charm. I'm so very sorry for your loss!

Dear Susan, I am sorry about the loss of your mother. When I received the Rotary notice that your mother had died, I was so surprised to open it and read that your mother was Rachel Kraut. Rachel was my boss at my very first job in the Notions Department at Wurzburg's at Southland Plaza. Rachel was a great boss, and a great person. She was feisty, looked out for her staff, and made work fun. I continued to work there during the summers of my college years, and always looked forward to working with Rachel Kraut! She must have been quite the mom! I loved reading the story you wrote about her.

To Rachel's family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom and grandma with many greats....

I do not know your family, but your beautiful words that honor Rachel spoke to my heart. She sounds like my mom. I lost my mom this year and I personally know the journey you have ahead of you.

I pray you feel her in your heart daily and you meet her in your dreams often. I surely believe anyone that lived the energy filled life that she did, will continue that energy around each of you.

Godspeed Rachel Kraut, you were truly loved by legions.

Susie and Bud, I'm so sorry to learn of Aunt Rachel's passing. She was wonderful! My favorite Aunt, full of fun, laughter, and good humor. She will be greatly missed by many, many people who adored her, like I did. A life well lived!

Rachel is someone I thought of as my own Mother at times, she was so much fun, every year Rachel would want to experience a new type of food, and the last time it was kumquats, she had to have them, so Susan, myself and Rachel went on a search in Florida for kumquats, we bought kumquat pie, comquat bread, comquat candy, fruit, whatever they had we bought it and brought it home, once we came home to eat it, Rachel decided she didn't like it,so needless to say Susan, Bud and I ate kumquats for the next 6 months, we laughed so hard, I think we all got more of a kick out of saying kumquats than anything else, the year before that it was paczki's, I looked forward to our food excursions! Rachel would come to watch Susan and I run and cheer for us! We would all go to breakfast afterward and celebrate! we'd go to parties together, sit out on the back porch and drink wine together, I will miss her dearly, I'm sorry I never told her how much I loved her, I hope she's reading this from above and knows what an impact she had on me :)

Dear Susan, Bud and Family, my prayers are with you in the loss of your sweet wonderful mom. I am sorry that I will not be able to be with you at the celebration of her life but I will be there in spirit. Much love, Marcia VanderWoude.
