KRALIK (SCHABEL), SHARON Feb. 20, 1957 to July 6, 2013 Because you always loved without question, you will always be loved. On July 6, Sharon Marie Schabel Kralik lost her battle with the severe brain cancer diagnosed just after Mother's Day this year. She died in peace and love, with her beloved sons and her father at her side, after showing great courage and fortitude. Sharon grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she loved being on the lake in her father's boat. She graduated from Kentwood High School in 1975. She obtained her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Michigan in 1979, and moved to Los Angeles that year. Her son, John Kralik V was born in 1981; and her son, Joshua Kralik was born in 1984. Although she worked for a credit union in the ensuing years, her life was distinguished by her loving dedication to her sons, who adored her. She lived her life unselfishly, and always, for them. She is survived by her sons; her loving parents, William and Judy Schabel, of Pompano Beach, Florida; her dearest sister, Jane Ballard, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her beloved brother, William Schabel, of Chanhassen, Minnesota; and by her nieces and nephews. Her family is heartbroken by her tragic early loss, but grateful for her life of giving her true and unwavering love. Her ex-husband, Judge John Kralik, remembers Sharon with honor and gratitude for her love and devotion to their children. Sharon will be buried privately at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills. A memorial will be held on July 20, 2013 at the home of her son, John Kralik. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Malena's Foundation, which benefits children suffering from cancer, at 15332 Antioch Street, No. 449, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Sharon. Such a loss of a beautiful person! Remembering her from High school and time spent with her on her Dad's boat. The last time I spent any time with her was on a vacation to California when she was expecting John. She was as always a gracious hostess and so thrilled to be expecting her first child. Always that wonderful smile on her face. Love and prayers to the Schabel/kralik families.....

I was fortunate to be a neighbor of Sharon's... and to experience her warm and gentle spirit. Most evenings she would like a scented candle, so I light this candle in her honor. During her last weeks, I am sure she was comforted and blessed to be cared for by her sons, as they returned the loving devotion she had for them. My heart and prayers goes out to her family and friends.

Sharon was a lady in the truest sense of the world. She appreciated beauty in everything. She loved afternoon teas, and walks at the Huntington Gardens which we enjoyed together. I will always remember her correctness and her love of her family. I have never known anybody before who could delight so much in a blooming flower or tree or Christmas at the Mission Inn. I will miss her very much. The world lost a gentle soul. Good bye, Sharon.

I am so saddened by this. I was a classmate of Sharon's at EKHS and, although I didn't really hang out with her much..we were in quite a few classes together and really enjoyed each other. We would call and talk to each other alot about class assignments etc. I was very fond of her, and thought of her often- I knew she moved to California, and was sorry I never got to see her again-boys, your mother was a really sweet girl. RIP Sharon..GodSpeed

I am so very sorry for your loss. I don't normally look at the obituary, but my Mom passed away on July 5th and saw this when looking for hers. I remember Sharon from high school...she was always as sweet and kind as she was beautiful.

William, Judy, Bill and my dear friend Jane. Johnny Josh and John Kralik,
Not one of you have left my thoughts for the last six weeks. I will continue to keep you all there in the days to come. I know what an amazing part of your family Sharon is. I remember her gentle sweetness and her wonderful sense of humor that you share. It took such courage and strength to endure this. I have such an admiration for each one of you and the part you played as Sharon's dear family. I have no doubt she feels the same. I'm asking for great measures of peace to follow. If Sharon could share with you even an ounce of the Peace she's experiencing now, that would be her prayer and gift of thanks for each of you.
Much love!

Sharon we will never forget all the joy and happiness you brought to our lives. I will never forget that you were the "standard" (smart, funny, and beautiful too) we wanted to live up to when you were in high school. Your family and our family had many wonderful times together that we will never forget. May you rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers have been with the Kralik/Schabel family for several weeks, and they still are. As a close friend of Jane for over 40 years, my heart aches for her as well as her family. Growing up, Sharon was my very first "crush". She was not only beautiful she was always so kind and sweet to us little, obnoxious kids! I will always remember Sharon fondly. She is at peace now in Heaven and may God continue to be with you all.
