Hanshue, Wade K. The world lost a great man on December 10, 2015, with the sudden passing of Wade K. Hanshue, 83 (Grant, MI) from multiple injuries. Wade was born a twin on February 7, 1932 to the late Wade and Josephine (Hoatlin) Hanshue. Wade was a man who exuded kindness and compassion to those around him. He enjoyed sharing stories, singing Irish songs, playing cribbage and much more with those he loved. He was faced with multiple challenges throughout his life, but kept an optimistic, positive attitude that won't be forgotten. Wade shared his life with Yvonne Hanshue for 61 adventurous years and leaves his bride broken hearted and awaiting the day they will be together again. Together they traveled, explored the wonders of nature near and far and created beautiful gardens surrounding their home. In his spare time he enjoyed working with wood, including wood carving and restoring late model boats. Wade was proud to have served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army. His decorations and citations are; Paratrooper Badge, WWII Victory Medal Army of Occupation Japan, Veteran of the Korean War and served in the Strategic Air Command. After an honorable discharge, Wade began his carrier as a Linesman for Michigan Bell and ultimately ended as a PBX Technician for AT&T. He was an active member of the 4249 VFW Post in Newaygo County, where he had been the Post All-State Commander, Senior Vice Commander and most recently held the position of Judge Advocate. Together, Wade and Yvonne designed and built a home, where they raised their 5 children; Rene (late Bruce) Mitchell, Michelle Mansfield, Wade (Renee) Hanshue, Scott (Sharon) Hanshue and Russell (Lisa) Hanshue. Anyone who knew him, knew he loved his family, including his 13 grandchildren; Monique (Dawn) Murray, Dylan (Simon) Molina, Anna (Dustin) Ingersoll, Clinton (Joanna Leao) Mansfield, Ashley (Jason) Wiggins, Richard Mansfield, Rylee (Chris) Atkins, Wade (Nichole) Hanshue, Wyatt Hanshue, Blake Hanshue, Garrett Hanshue, Brittany Willett, Isabelle Hanshue and Nicholas Hanshue. As the generations grew, so did Wade's love for them. He and Yvonne have been blessed so far with 10 great-grandchildren; Skylar Foster, Shannon Molina, Sayer Molina, Sean Molina, Gauge Ingersoll, Keenan Ingersoll, Kyzer Ingersoll, Ella Wiggins, Wade (Wadie Boy) Hanshue, Makayla Leao Mansfield. Wade is also survived by his sisters Sally Wines and Barbara Baker as well as other nieces and nephews. At Wade's request family will be celebrating his life on December 20th at Fields-McKinley Funeral in Grant, Michigan. Family is welcoming visitors from 11-1 with his memorial following and a Luncheon afterwards at the 4249 VFW Hall in Newaygo, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Trotter in Newaygo in Wade's memory.

Michelle, Rene, Ma, Wade Scottie and Russell.... Sooo sorry to hear about Dad's passing. He was a very cool guy and calmly put up with a lot of crap from us as kids/teens. Always treated me like one of the clan. He was a talented Man with many reasons to be respected. Sorry I could not make the service. God speed and hugs.
