Fore, Wendell D.
Wendell D. Fore, 83, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2014. He was born on February 6, 1930, in Indiana to the late Oscar and Inez (Hamilton) Fore. Windy graduated from Jimtown High School in Elkhart, Indiana, with the class of 1948. He then served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Windy married the love of his life, Ruth Weaver on November 9, 1952, in Indiana. He worked at Packerland Packing from 1976 until his retirement in 2012.
He was a large sports fan who loved the Green Bay Packers and going to the UWGB women's basketball games. Windy managed a slow pitch baseball team for over 30 years. He would often meet on Friday mornings with his men's breakfast buddies at Julie's Café for more than 35 years. Windy's greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially attending Packer games together.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Ruth; daughter, Jan (Chris) Anderson and their children, Eric (Tristen) and Lauren Anderson; son, Jack (Lisa) Fore and their children, Lindsey (Vince) Johnson and Kelsey Fore and her daughter, Brielle, Ally Fore, and Kailey, Merideth, Kerrigan, and Caleb Neff; brother, Terry "Butch" (Vicki) Fore; sisters-in-law, Beverly Fore and Edna Smith.
Wendell was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Fore.
Family and friends may call Monday, February 3, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 2:00pm with Pastor Kim Sechler officiating. To leave a special message for Wendell's family please visit, www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund for St. John's Shelter has been established.

Ruth, we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. The great memories we had with him in the Tuesday night Old Timers softball league will not be forgotten. Mark Gezella and everyone from his Tuesday night softball team.
