I wish to express my sincere condolences to the family of Bruce Walter. I found out of Bruce's passing on November 15th when I call his home to talk with him. Bruce was a true friend we grew up together in Mauston graduated in 1965. I talked Bruce into joining the AirForce with me in the spring of 1966. The day we signed up in Wisconsin Rapids was just another day to remember. I have many memories of Bruce and I growing up and I'm sure he had pasted on some of the crazy things we did. Our paths cross a few times while in the AirForce, I remember as I was getting out after eight years he said he was going to do the same however, he stay in and retired. After Bruce retired we met a few more times in Hudson and Greenbay we also shared telephone conversations. Rose and I had the pleasure of meeting both Sue and Wendy. I'm sure he will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him he was certainly an inspiration to all around him.
RIP Bruce God Bless

My deepest condolences to the family of Bruce Walter. I was a friend & neighbor as well as classmate in the Mauston School System from the time we were in 2nd grade until graduation in 1965. Sorry to say that we lost touch and I am saddened to hear of his passing. He was a neat guy who always made our Saturday confirmation classes hilarious with his joking! Also there were a few fire alarms that went off when we were in high school that we knew he had something to do with happening! I am sure he will be deeply missed by all who knew him & have fond memories as I do.

So sad to hear of SMSgt Walter's passing. I had the honor of serving with him in the Air Force during the later part of his career at McChord AFB in Tacoma. He was a great mentor of mine early in my career and showed me many aspects of what it takes to be a leader in the Air Force. I developed a tremendous amount of respect for his dedication and commitment to his country. Today, I send prayers to his family and a final salute to this American Patriot.
To the family of Bruce Walter. I have never met this man, but I have had the pleasure of knowing his amazing daughter and so he must have been a wonderful Father to have raised such a beautiful, intelligent, sensitive, caring Woman as Tracey. My heart goes out to all of his family as he will be missed deeply. Remember memories the greatest treasures of all and you have tons of them. Prayers and Hugs
