Gus was a remarkable man who had many great achievements: his honorable military service during the Cold War, his federal licenses as a Nuclear Reactor Operator and Senior Reactor Operator, his certification as a Nuclear Shift Technical Advisor, and an Alpha Sigma Lambda honors graduate in the first graduation class of University of Maryland Nuclear Science and Engineering Program. But, we will remember him most for his sense of humor, his humility and his love for nature (especially the birds in his woods). He is sadly missed.
