Corey Jonet Obituary
Corey was admired and loved by many people and he always had a smile for everyone. He will be dearly missed. Corey loved his truck, snowmobiling and ATVing. Corey shot trap at the New Franken Sportsman's Club. He loved his recent participation in the Luxemburg Trailer Races and going to the races. Corey also enjoyed working on race cars with his friends and was always there with a helping hand to whomever needed it. He loved his time at Crooked Lake, especially the hunting season with Mom, Dad and Jerry. Corey cherished the annual Crooked Lake fishing derby with family and friends. He was one of the most polite young man and could mingle with friends young and old and always had a smile. Corey was attending NWTC and worked for Gandrud Chevrolet as a mechanic. He loved what he was doing and the people he worked with, he talked about with pride. He always had a smile when his sister called him Shorty.
He is survived by his parents, Dan and Lisa Jonet; sisters, Jessica (Chad) Jonet, Christine (Kevin) Jonet; nieces and nephew, Chiane, Nadia, Dekin and Kailey; beautiful friend and girlfriend, Brittany Wanek; maternal grandparents, Ken and Marilyn Conrad; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Loretta Jonet.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 710 N. Baird St, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Tony Cirignani, OFM officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
The outpouring of love has been beyond words, a blessed gift that was given to Corey, a beautiful window to look out. We thank everyone for their love and support. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

Corey was a great person and when i recieved a call from one of his best friends shawn I was crushed and breathless. He was so young to go such a tragic way my heart goes out to the family. He will be sadly missed.

With the passing of a few close friends in a short time recently I found this quote I'd like to share with you,"We all die. The goal isn't to live forever; the goal is to create something that will." Lisa and the rest of the Jonet family,
I am so sorry for your loss, i know that may seem redundant, but I got the chance to know Corey through the Luxemburg races because he helped on some of my friends race cars. He was always smiling, laughing, and engaging in crazy conversations in the pits after the races, which we all did and it was always just a good time goofing around with each other. I may have known him for a short while, but he was a great young man and he could touch anyone that he came in contact with.
You raised him well and he will still be smiling down on you all from above. He will be GREATLY missed

My deepest condolences to Corey's family. I was in auto class with him at NWTC. He was a great guy and a lot of fun to work with and to just hang with. I was sad when he went to the morning class so he could get more hours at work and now I will miss him more.
