I am so sorry to hear about Great Aunt Irene. She will be missed.

Irene was my Godmother. I fondly remember a trip I took to Green Bay with Pam from Minneapolis and stayed with Uncle Reuben and Aunt Irene, Stanley and Reuben for a few days. I know I'm not a great communicator but I think of the family often. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.

I have many fond memories of Aunt Irene. One of the best dates back to 1969 when she drove her 1964 Jaguar XKE to Pipestone to visit my family. She picked me up at school and we proceeded to drive around town. It was my first experience with hearing that vigorous Jaguar growl and experiencing viscerally the "shove-in-the-spine" acceleration when she headed out to the farm. The stuff of lasting memories for a then 13-year-old! Remembering the delight on her face as she handled one of the most beautiful cars ever made remains indelibly etched in my mind.
