Gantenbein, Justin Carver
Justin Carver Gantenbein, 74, formerly of Green Bay and De Pere, died Sept. 5, at his home in Sherman Oaks, Calif. Preceded in death by his son, Charles, he is survived by his son, Justin, Clearwater, Fla.; his brother, Raymond, Green Bay; his sisters, Mary Jane Weiland (Dick), Northfield, Minn; and Rose Friedson (Harvey), Chicago and Egg Harbor, Wis; and many nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U..S Navy and a graduate of UWGB. A talented actor, he apprenticed at Peninsula Players and was active in Green Bay Community Theatre. He worked at WBAYFM, United Fund and the GBW Railroad. In California, he worked in the record business. He was a lover of jazz, classic movies, California weather and the Green Bay Packers. His warmth, generosity and joie de vivre will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Justin and I played golf often in Burbank. We had a wonderful friendship.
I used to met Him at WBAY after work. Played on the Door.Great times. Wound up in Ca. He was a Great Friend. Wonderful memories. L.A. OPEN, Jazz places in Toluca Lake.De Bel golf.

Butch, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your groovy dad. Great memories never fade, and we have those for sure. While reading his obituary, I saw that Chuck has also passed, what can be said? I too lost a brother(Paul) several years ago, and the pain remains, as well as endless fond memories. Peace be with you, friend.
