Jamie Felix Podsiadlo
Taylors
Jamie Felix Podsiadlo, 40, of Taylors, left us May 7, 2013.
Born November 22, 1972 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of Christa Podsiadlo and the late Felix Podsiadlo.
Jamie moved to Greenville with Kristi, his wife of 14 years, in 1993 from Dallas, TX. He worked for American Sahm, a German American textile company where he had the opportunity to travel the world, including Australia, Bolivia, Turkey, and Brazil. In 2000, Jamie and Kristi opened Dahlia a Florist. Jamie had a passion for growing and cultivating bonsai trees. His love for kayaking and teaching led him to become a whitewater kayak instructor and to taking hundreds of trips down the Green River with Kristi and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a sister, Michelle; a nephew, Felix; and half sisters and brother, Marie, Elizabeth and Felicia and Leon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at the Liberty Bridge at Falls Park on the Reedy at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 to celebrate his life. The family will gather afterwards to continue with the celebration. A later date will be set to spread his cremated remains at Bull Sluice on the Chattooga River.
Memorials may be made to the Frazee Dream Center, 8110 Highway 81, Easley, SC 29642 or at their website, www.frazeecenter.com
