Nancy and family, Wallace Mclendon and I were best friends growing up together. I got to be around Grant a little when I visited Wallace at Granville Towers. Even way back then Grant seemed to be a serious student and a cut above the rest. Wallace told me way back he had named his son.after Grant. I read about Grant in the recent Carolina Review. I am so sorry .

To Nancy and Family --

I was shocked to see that Grant had passed away. Loved his picture -- could still see his youthful smile after all these years. As you know, Grant and I were roomies at Carolina. We shared some wonderful times together. He was a bright, sweet, gentle man. And geeze he could run! I thought so much of him, that I named my son after him -- Grant Lund McLendon. I sent my son the obituary and said that he should be proud to be named after such a great guy. My family's picture is attached and my son Grant is in the middle. I am so very sorry for your loss. He loved you dearly.

Such an incredible doctor that has touched the lives of so many with his love and compassion. His life is an inspiration. I will remember his smile. Such a humble man that I am honored to have met.

Will never forget what you did for me. You will be missed so much. I pray you're family will be comforted through the times ahead knowing how much you were loved by your patients.

I was saddened to hear of the early passing of this great MD. I worked with him @ GHS and he was also my mother's physician. He was very kind, caring and compassionate with his patients. He will truly be missed.

I had the honor of working with Dr.Healy in ICU@ GMH as he cared for his patients many years ago. Such a kind, caring gentle man. Sympathies to his family.

My grandmother was a longtime patient of Dr.Healy. She loved him very much and always looked forward to seeing him. Prayers are being lifted up during this difficult time.

What more can be said that hasn't been said in the previous messages. I worked with Dr Healey and at one time was under his care. I remember his quiet walk down the halls of GMH and his soft kind voice as he approached the Nursing Stations and his patients. My heart and prayers go out to his family.
