Tony had the most contagious laugh of anyone I have know. He will be missed greatly!
Clint & Judy...we just learned about Tony today by Norene Soares (Shauna's mom). Our son, Connor, and I were remembering him - we loved his incredible smile and just how awesome he was to all the kids at West Bowles in Awana and Junior Church. Our hearts and our prayers are with you with his loss - what a blessing he was and his life will forever be a mark on our lives!

Clint & Judy, my family and I are so sad about your loss of Tony. Our hearts ache for you, Andrea, Angie, his wife Tracy and rest of the family. Although I have not seen Tony since his childhood I still remember his infectious smile and oh so sweet demeanour. May the Lord give you all the comfort, and in time, the peace that you need and may Tony rest in Jesus's loving arms. We hold you in our thoughts and prayers. Grace & family.
God bless you Tony. Even though I didn't know you (I know your sister Angie), I know you served Jesus Christ and did so much good while you walked in this life. Christ's peace be with you friend.
What a privilege and honor that I have in knowing Tony. A great friend and firefighter.
The Lapina Family - So very sorry to hear about a wonderful young man who touched so many. Praying for peace to soothe you, grace to hold you and love to comfort you.
As a mom, I have prayed for the words to comfort my daughter Sara. Tony was influential in her life as well as to many others. The only words that come to my mind at this moment is: God gave Tony's life on earth an eternal purpose to each and every one of us. We will miss his infectious smile, his crusading for Christ, and his love for life. It is up to us now to “pay it forward” what Tony instilled in our heart and soul. We pray for the comfort of God's love and strength. Forever Remembered, Forever Missed.
(Friend through West Bowles Community Church)

I was devastated to hear the news of Tonys passing. I served alongside him at Newspring Church, and he became a friend of mine. He would do anything to help anyone, he truly was the hands and feet of Jesus. I pray that God may comfort his family and friends and all that knew him. He will be greatly missed.

We lost one of the brightest lights shining in this world. Tony Lapina you changed countless lives including mine. My friend and mentor you will be missed, your life will be celebrated, and the things you have taught all of us will literally have impacts throughout the nations for generations. Our hearts cry out to have lost a man of such honor, our beloved brother in Christ. Tony, we know that right now you would be calling us back to Jesus reminding us that you are now before the man you have knelt before everyday for years. You would tell us to keep following Jesus passionately and vibrantly with all the tenacity that we could muster. We know you are dancing, singing, worshipping, and throwing your contagious laugh all over the place up there with all the saints and with Jesus. You will be dearly missed, love ya big guy.

Sometimes life seems to be unfair but there are a handful of people that come into your life, even if for a short time, that will be with you for the rest of your life. Tony was one of those people. His smile and his personality, would bring out the best of anyone. Sitting out back on the bench at the fire station and the long talks we would have will be some of the memories I will never forget. Hearing about his travels and the many lives he touched. As his officer and a brother of many brothers at the City of Greenville Fire Department and to his family who is our family, he will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Angie; and all the family, you are all in my deepest prayers. Tony was my friend/Brother in Christ thru Newspring Church, a place he poured his heart out to, though being such an awesome Christ lead small group leader. Over the last 5yrs, Tony poured into my Oldest Grandson Dylan and then over the last 2, my other Grandson Tyler; & I know he had a positive impact on their lives, and thru that he will live on in them, as they move forward in Christ and impact others. He will be missed greatly, until we see him once again in Heaven.
Thinking of all of you at this sad time. My son-in-law worked with Tony and they were very close friends. May God comfort you always .
My heart is so heavy. So blessed to have had Tony as the big brother I never actually had. Praying God's grace, love, peace, and rest flood the hearts of the friends and family he leaves behind, especially sweet Tracy. May God be glorified even in this.
My heart is so saddened to hear of this loss of your son. My thoughts and prayers are with you Judy and Clint.
Our hearts just ache for the loss of Tony. When certain people come to mind, they make you smile and Tony was one of them. He was always a blessing to be around as is the entire Lapina family. Tony led a life that God has probably told him “well done thou good and faithful servant.” Heaven is rejoicing with his presence there and we rejoice here having known Tony and respect him for the life he led. May God's peace and comfort be with the entire family.
Clint, Judy and family,
So saddened to hear about Tony, prayers, love and hugs coming your way. Love, Gary and Dorothy Shackleton

To the Lapina family, Tony was a youth group leader for my two sons, Stephen and Tommy Lepke in Littleton, CO. My son, Tommy Lepke, has put a tribute up to him on his facebook. it was may of 2002 I climbed my first 14ner in southern Colorado. I didn't want to go any farther but Tony encouraged me and challenged me to keep going. I am glad he did! Thank you Tony.
I met Tony back in 1999. He was the first person to greet me when I came to my first College Group meeting at West Bowles Comm. Church in CO. I didn't live close (an hour from the church) so after class on Thursdays I would sit in my car in the parking lot for several hours waiting for group to start. He saw me one day, asked why I did that when I could hang out at his place. That made me feel a part of the community. Been there ever since. Thanks Tony! See you in heaven bro. My prayers are with his wife & family.
My heart pours out for the family and those most affected by his passing. Such an amazing servant of our Lord was taken home so soon... He is missed by so many already. Let us remember his legacy and believe that he has heard the words from our good Lord "Well done, good and faithful servant".
Tony has been a part of my sons life for the last 2+ years as his small group leader @ NewSpring church and led my son to Christ. It was my pleasure to know him and serve along side him at church. He impacted my family greatly and will be missed.
I'm very close with Angie (Tony's sister) and I've never experienced a sister's love for her big brother as I saw with Angie and Tony. My prayers are for everyone in Tony's family and the friends who have lost a great godly man. I pray for peace during this time.
My husband worked with Anthony. We are so sorry for your loss. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.
