If you looked up the word "gentleman" (as southern "gentleman") in a dictionary you would find "see Jack Gardo." I first met Jack back in 1981. He taught me everything I know about Terrazzo as a mentor; but, he was so much more than that .. he was first and foremost my friend for over 30 years. We originally formed our bond during the old Seamco days. His personal integrity, rock solid faith, and sincere desire to "alays do good" was inspiring, with his handshake being as good as gold. Over the past few years his health slid downhill, but his quest for knowledge (keeping up with what was going on in the industry) never waned nor did his sunny outlook on life. May my friend Jack rest in peace with his "legacy" living on in the hearts, memories, and souls of all whose life he touched and left an imprint on. To his family, I pray for you all during this time of great loss ... Jack was one in a million; I'm sure he is looking down from Heaven and proud of you all.
