Kenneth Gussow Obituary

Kenneth Gussow

Greenville

Kenneth Gussow, 90, passed away comfortably early Monday morning September 30, 2013.

Born and reared in New York, NY, he was a son of the late Jacob and Gertrude Zipkin Gussow.

He was a member of that Greatest Generation and honorably served in the US Navy during World War II. Following his discharge, he joined his family business, Curtron Curtains. In 1980 the company relocated from New York to Travelers Rest where he retired as Vice President of Production in 2005. He was a longtime member of Temple of Israel.

He leaves a grieving family and friends to mourn his loss in addition to his beloved daughter, Elyse Gussow of Rockville, MD.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service 2:00pm Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Beth Israel Cemetery with Rabbi Julie Kozlow officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his devoted wife of 51 years, Gertrude Hines Gussow. Ken now will be reunited with his furry friend and late in life companion, Puffy.

The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Michael and Tonya Sokoloff, 501 Hill Lane, Mauldin, SC. and also Friday and Saturday from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

In his memory, please make contributions to the charity of your choice.
