I had the pleasure of meeting your family at Camp Hands of Hope, and it is obvious you were a wonderful man, and greatly missed.

Even though it's been almost two months it still doesn't seem real... We all miss you so much. We miss that marvelous smile that could make you forget all your worries. We miss the way you made everyone feel loved and had so much love to share. The way you were almost child-like in your zest for life. You soaked up everything life had to offer and are an inspiration for us all. You were a wonderful brother-in-law. I loved you as much as my own brother.

The man with the million dollar smile...you were a loving husband, a fabulous father, and just a great person. You will be missed, but your memory will live on forever. My prayers and thoughts are with Kim, Hayley, Sammy, and your family daily. The Lord gained a genuine angel on that day. May you always look down and watch over those you loved and cherished. Love to you all and God Bless.

I tried to write a month ago and just couldn't. It was too shocking and overwhelming. I'm glad Kim sent a reminder. I know you as the guy that brought Kim's smile back. The one who gave her a fairy tale. The one who always was smiling and brought joy to others. You made my boys feel welcome when you took them out on the lake. And just last year I got to know you as Uncle Scott to my sweet Drew in my class. He has so much of you in him that I often find myself smiling at him knowing you live on in his spirit. You were a candle in all our lives burning bright. The sadness we feel at the loss of you will not diminish that light but only teach us all to live like you did. To the fullest, with arms wide open, smiling, and loving everyone. Goodbye Scott. Know we will take care of Kim and the girls for you. Watch over us all and every sunrise or sunset over the lake I will think of you.
