Our family grew up across the street from Martha, John, Johnny and George in Rock Island, Illinois. They were the best neighbors, so disciplined, yet non-judgmental, very kind and caring of others.

Our families had so much fun together with so
many wonderful memories over the years!

We will all miss George so much; even as a child he was thoughtful, compassionate and fun to be around. He would always show up at our door when we made chocolate brownies or fudge. And he was so gentle
he could never discipline their first dog Penny when she was bad. I hope he and Martha slid through Heaven's Gate together.

We will miss George who was a bright light in our lives. Myself and my whole family send love and condolences to Sue-Ann, Emily, Tommy and Jesse and the rest of the family. Our thoughts are with you all.

Sad news to learn of my brother in law, George's death. My children grew up with their Uncle George as a presence in their lives during many family occasions in New Jersey, as well as Southampton and Bridgehampton, New York often eating dinners, boating, sitting in hot tubs or at the beach. We have fond memories of those glory days. Also we will miss Martha, George' proud mother. My heart goes out to my sister Patience, the cousins Jesse, Tom, and Emily, George's second wife Sue Ellen and her children and the rest of the Williamson Family.

As a friend of Vaughn's, I feel very fortunate to have spent enough time with him to see what a wonderful, loving and generous man he was. I loved spending time with both George and Sue Ann and he made those around him better people. My deepest sympathies to the entire family.
