I just came across mr. Carroll's obit I was just thinking of him fondly. I worked for him as his administrative assistant at kidder Peabody and company on 57th street. Back in 1976-1978. He was wonderful to me. He taught me so much about the stock market and gave me the confidence and experience I needed. I am saddened by his loss I just wanted you to know that when I worked for him I was only 19 but now at 56 I have thought of him often with fond memories. I am sorry for your loss, sincerely, Mary Ellen
I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I became good friends with him the moment he walked into the Animal Refuge Center in Fort Myers, FL back in the early 90's. I have never met a man of such compassion and intelligence. The world is a darker place without the light that shone from Ed. Please accept my love and condolences.
I'm Bret Carroll -- a son of Edward's cousin Gil. I met Edward only once or twice in my childhood, but wanted to touch base with the rest of the family at this sad time. Reading the obit, I can see that there are lots of us Carrolls still kicking. Regards to you all.
Edward was one of my oldest friends. He was two days younger than I am. Joan and Edward and my wife Joan and I spent much time together over the years. Edward took a picture of my grand-children in his Ft. Myers apartment that is my favorite picture. They are looking up from under his cocktail table in the living room at the Landings. We will always remember Edward and Joan from this picture. Our sympathies to Joan and the "children'.
We are very sorry to hear about Edward's passing. We speak of him all the time and have many memories of his relationship with my parents. We send you our love.
Susan Moch and Family,
We have wonderful memories of Edward, and our love and condolences go out to Joan and family, as well as, EJ and Billy. Sorry we were not in Ct., but still in Florida until June.

To the Carroll family. I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Carroll was blessed with 91 years of special mightiness. (Psalms 90:10) May your hearts be filled with joyful memories of time spent with her as you remember a life well lived, and may our heavenly Father, who is the Hearer of Prayer, bring you strength and peace in your time of sorrow. Again, please accept my sincerest condolences.
My fondest memory of Ed was when he discovered my husband had also been an officer in the Coast Guard. Ed's smile never faded as he shared stories with us of his days in the service. Our visit with him was an afternoon well spent. Love, Grace
Our prayers and love are extended to all of you. Sincerely, Kate, Kristin and Miranda Wesley

Our deepest condolences on the loss of your father.
Edward's membership in the Hall of Fame of Excellent Uncles is now permanent. I will always appreciate the great interest he showed in me while I always admired the great interest he showed in all. My heart is in Stamford at this time. Love, Roger
To Joan and Family,
Ed was a terrific guy and a heck of a tennis player. I will always remember him fondly as we played on the courts in Dolphin Cove.
We send our deepest and heart felt condolences to our family at this difficult time of loss.
Our prayers are with you. We are very sorry to have learned of your loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Please accept our deepest condolences as I remember Eddie Unks as the fun-loving Uncle with a great sense of humor. Hope to gather as cousins soon for a much happier occasion.
Love, Katharine and Jim
