May the GOD who comforts all comfort you in your time of pain and grief. (2Corinth.1:3&4) I am sorry for your loss.
Sleep in peace always Rev Bevilacqua,
I remember him as simply "Father" Bevilacqua when he was an auxiliary priest to Holy Cross parish in Brooklyn, NY. Over forty years later, I still remember some of his sermons. They were about becoming better people, not just better church-goers. Very powerful and enduring messages. Thank you, and rest in peace, Father.
We send prayers for the family of Cardinal Bevilacqua. May he rest in peace for his years of devotion to the church and its many believers.

Rest in Peace Uncle Tony. We love you very much, and will forever treasure the memories we have of you. You are an inspiration to all of us. Your name will live on through our newest addition, baby Anthony, but more importantly your legacy will live on through all of us.
Uncle Tony, I treasure so many memories of you - attending your ordination in Brooklyn when I was a little girl, your love for Our Blessed Mother and your faithfulness to your priestly vocation, fun times in Miami and the Shore, your wit and wisdom, the action movies you liked, your insistence on pasta al dente with NO CHEESE, and so many more. I will never forget your compassion, generosity and understanding. Rest in God's eternal love and peace. Love you,
Q.E.P.D. (Que En Paz Descanse)
May God have mercy on your soul.....
Uncle Tony, Liz & Lou said it best. No matter what you were to the world to us you were always Uncle Tony. And no matter what was going on around you and how important those things were, you always made family feel as if we came first. We knew that we were important. There are so many little things about you that we will miss....
With love until we meet again,
Heaven is a better place with you in it.
To the world you were Anthony Cardinal Bevilacqua, to the family you were Uncle Tony. You were always there, marrying us, christening our children, helping us through the sad times, taking us out to dinner, "no cheese", celebrating with us in the good times...but you were always there. The children called you bluejay because what was a cardinal? And you laughed. You imparted words of wisdom, you imparted dogma and we argued. There was always the Christmas card signed "Uncle Tony". To the world you were Cardinal Bevilacqua but to us you were our beloved "Uncle Tony"
Thank you Uncle Tony. Thank you for showing me a pathway to love and a relationship with God I never thought possible. Your guiding light could never be snuffed out. Godspeed and I look forward to picking up our conversations and pinochle games when the Lord calls on me to join you!
Your light will forever shine in my life . I love you and admire you as my uncle and the wonderful person that you were. No one can ever taint my image and belief in you. No one knows you like we do and how much you cared for my family, especially my mom and dad.
I am honored to call you my "Uncle Tony" Thank you for always believing in me and supporting my endeavors and accomplishments. I am going to miss you but know that you are in a better place.
I have always loved you Uncle Tony
