My favorite author, by far. I have a collection of all of her books, that I treaure and read over and over again.

I only just learned of Belva Plain's passing moments ago when I read the inscription on her last book, "Heartwood", which I recently picked up at my library. I have read nearly all of her novels and I have enjoyed each and every one of them. I feel inexplicably sad to learn this is her final one. She was a talented writer and I will sorely miss her. May God bless you, Belva, and my sincere condolences to your family. You touched my heart with your work.

Belva Plain was and is my favorite author. You feel like the people in her books are real, and when they have tragedies or deaths, you cry. She is the most wonderful writer I have ever read. I am so glad she lived such a long, full life.
I started reading Belva Plains books thirty years ago. I saved all of her books, I LOVED them, I just finished reading her book Heartwood, I was so surprised to read she died. I loved her books, she gave us a wonderful gift, I was so sad, I will miss her, she shared her gift of heartwarming books, she was a talent that will never be replaced.
I just discovered Belva Plain when a stranger at Barnes and Noble recommended her books. I read "Evergreen" and am now hooked. I was so saddened to hear of her death! How wonderful that she has left such beautiful achievements in her writing. She must have been an amazing woman to put so much heart in her work. As a Jew and former New Yorker, I particularly like the variety of Jewish characters she creates. My condolences to her family and friends.
I was always a fan of Belva Plain's books, and am very sad to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.
I was so saddened by the passing of one of my favorite authors. Once I had read "Evergreen", of course, I was hooked, and couldn't wait to get to her next novel. My books are my best friends, so I am truly thankful to Belva Plain for giving me so many dear friends over the years. She will be missed in the literary world...and in mine.
I have loved Ms. Plain's books for many, many years, ever since Evergreen. I just learned of her death when I got her most recent book from the library a few days ago. I was telling the librarian what a treat it always is to find a new Belva Plain and that I hoped that she would live forever. Then, I noticed that she died last fall. What a blow to her family and what sadness for her readers, too. Let me offer my condolences to her children and grandchildren. Such loss is hard to bear, but I know that your happy memories will offer comfort in the years to come.
Belva Plain's wonderful books have entertained me through many stages of my life. I am so sorry she passed on. Her books will live on.

May God be with each of you. Belva Plain's books are so enjoyable. She was a great storyteller. She will be missed.
She was a wonderful story teller. "Tapestry" is still my favorite. Her literary talent was colored by the realistic characters she created. My deepest sympathies to all here family.
I also enjoyed all of her books. Evergreen was my first novel. Then came Random Winds, Cresent City, Tapestry etc. I enjoyed all of her novels. They always kept my interest.
A wonderful author! I discovered "Evergreen" almost 30 years ago and have collected every book of Belva Plain since then. She brought to life the most amazing characters in every one of her stories. My favorite was her first heroine in "Evergreen." I so loved the character of Anna and the lives of Anna's family that Mrs. Plain shared with her readers. She wove together generations of Anna's family through several books, tying them to historical events and revolutionary times. I have mixed feelings on the upcoming "Evergreen" sequel. I am excited at becoming re-acquainted with old friends but it is coupled with a sadness knowing this will be my last time with them.
You have brought many years of joy to me with your storytelling, Mrs. Plain, and for that I thank you. I will miss you. May God bless you and your family.
I so enjoyed all of her books - Evergreen was my first, but not the last. What a blessing to have her share her skills and dedication in our lifetime. My sincere prayers to her family.
I've loved and read all of Mrs. Plain's books, since first reading EVERGREEN. Can't wait for the sequel. God Bless you and your family.
A true artist. Good clean reading. I will miss reading her books. May you rest in peace, Mrs. Belva Plains
Enjoyed reading her books! Rest in peace Mrs Plain.
Mrs. Plain has been one of my favorite writers. During difficult times in life, I was able to be drawn into the lives of her very real characters, which was a wonderful distraction. My sincere sympathy to her family.
To the family of Belva Plain: After reading Evergreen, I sought out every book authored by Belva I could find, most of which I could not put down. In an era when so much of the literature that is published contains offensive language and sexual habits, Belva did not include these and did not need them. Her stories were beautifully written and I am one avid reader who will miss her. Treasure your memories; she must have been a wonderful person.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Belva Plain has been one of my favorite authors for many years. I own and have read most of her books. Her fans will truly miss her. May your family find comfort in knowing that she brought pleasure to many readers.
