2 Kings 4: 32-37

That is a impressive record for both Miss
Taylor and Mr. Boag. They evidently were a great team.To have them fall asleep in death at almost the same time is remarkable. I hope the family and friends can remember all the fun times while watching them preform it must have been a special treat. May they rest in peace until the Lord says "WAKE UP"

Thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories be pleasant and God's promise sustain you. Acts 24:15

Wally Boag was an amazing guy and part of "The Greatest Generation," as was my own Dad, Bill Powers. It was great to see that Wally lived a long life, like my Dad. We enjoyed him as a performer several times during the late 50's and early 60's, at the Bird Cage Theater, when I was young. Later my Dad met up with him by coincidence at the Fullerton Golf Course and played with him in a Senior Men's Group. He would tell me that Wally would share his stories of performing at Disneyland and also of mentoring a young Steve Martin. My Dad ended up moving to Laguna Woods and sadly passed away last July at a month away from 91. It is my hope that Dad and Wally will be able to play golf again in heaven together. My prayers go out to his wife, children and grandchildren in their loss of a wonderful man. May their beautiful memories and God's promises of eternal life see them through.

May you both continue to sing and dance in Heaven. Bless you both for your contribution to the Wonderful World of Disney

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have spent time on stage and back stage with Betty and Wally, as one of the dancers in the "Golden Horseshoe Revue"....It was six really fun years of good times and great memories that I will always treasure...
June 07, 2011
I read Steve Martin's book - "Stand-Up." His praise of Mr. Boag was high. While I never saw Wally Boag perform -- if he's good enough for Steve Martin -- he's good enough for me. He must have been spectacular.

My Dad used to work at Disneyland and for a while he and Betty dated. She was always very kind to our family. My most fond memories are of the times spent at Disneyland. It was always great time visiting the Coca-Cola Golden Horse Shoe Review. She was very talented, very sweet and a very classy lady. R.I.P. Betty, it was really nice knowing you.

As a young kid back in the 1950's, I got to make trips to the park when I would go visit my Aunt and Uncle in Huntington Beach, one of the best stops when I was at Disneyland was the Golden Horse Shoe. One trip I got to meet Walt Disney, he took time to talk to me and give me a autograph and he ask me where I was from and I told him Missouri and he told me that he was born in Missouri, what a big thrill for a young kid to meet Mr. Disney. Betty and Wally were super people to work at Disneyland all the years. God Bless them and the family.
June 07, 2011
They lived a very long time. They will have the opportunity to live forever after the resurrection. May the family be blessed with memories and forever smiles....
June 07, 2011
My father and his friends were hired by Walt to find the site for Disneyland. As a result, I was lucky enough to visit the park almost weekly. My family would visit the Golden HorseShoe Review often and I remember Wally Boag and his balloon animals and his spitting out his teeth from the stage. I loved it all. These individuals brought me great joy and laughter. I extended my sympathy to their families. They made the world a kinder and more gentle place.
June 07, 2011
Those of us who booked it to the Golden Horseshoe to see Betty & Wally every time we went to Disneyland will remember fondly the fun and laughter the two brought to everyone. Thanks for the memories.

We are truly sorry for these loses. In your time of bereavement, know that God assures us that we will see our loved ones again. I’m sure that with the help of our loving Heavenly Father, your family, and friends you will be able to endure this trial. May your memories give you comfort.

And is binding up their painful spots.

Oh, Iam so sure I have seen both Ms. Taylor and Mr. Boag on my 50 or so visits to Disneyland. A Cali Native, Disneyland is still my favorite amusement park and my favorite of all the others, including Orlando.
My condolence to the family of Boag and Taylor. Thanks for the memories. Priscilla.

Wally Boag is a true Disney legend. One of the last remaining ones since the passing of Eddie Carrol last year. I idolized his work in family comedy and lauged hysterically at the personna of Pecos Bill that he created.

On a personal note, just 2 years ago I decided to write to Mr. Boag to tell him of my enjoyment of his work. He responded by sending me his amazing book "Wally Boag: Clown Prince of Disneyland". He personalized it to me by thanking me for being a fan and autographing the book. He also sent me a couple of 3x5 cards with his autograph, and most amazingly a fold out display stand from Disneyland where they used to sell balloons and a book on how to make his baloon animals. He signed that incredible piece of memorabelia from the 1970s and sent it to me at his own expense.

Known well to Disney fans, his shows were highlights to numerous visitors to the park. Wally will forever remain a Disney legend. Rest in peace friend, they just don't make 'em like you anymore.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not're coming here to me.

I did not have the chance to see Wally or Betty perform live. I was able to tape them from the Disney Channel's "World of Color" episode. I have them to see for ever...I will be going to Disneyland in August. I will say a prayer while standing in the saloon where they performed. Walt?...You have friends among you now. Rest in Peace my friends.

Psalms 36:7, reasures us of God's love for it states: "How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God ! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings." Betty and Wally will be missed, but we can put our trust in God's word for they are now in his memory.

I was one of the original dancers in the Golden Horseshoe Revue (Shirley Towers Koval) with Betty and we were great friends. She was instrumental in my joining the Catholic Church, for which I am forever grateful.
I have wonderful memories of the "show", and of dancing with Wally Boag and Betty. May she rest in peace.
