In 1965 my sister and I visited my grandmother in L.A. She had a friend named Tempe, whose daughter Maggie drove me and my sister to Malibu to hear Maggie's brother's band. It was many years later that I put two and two together and realized that her brother was Bob Welsh. His band inspired me to take up playing the drums, and today music is my passion. Maggie, wherever you are, thank you. I have never forgotten that day. Your brother's music has inspired me for years. I am sorry for your loss.
