Buddy was a very talented man. He will be truly missed by millions of people.
In the time of your sorrow reach out to God. He is waiting for you to come to him. So he can comfort you at your time of need. I know this for a fact because I have done this myself in the time of my needs.
Thank you for sharing Buddy with all of us.
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Uncle Jed, Barnaby, and Andy Griffith, I enjoyed you in all of them. I just saw the Andy Griffith Show the other day with you in it. It was the one where Opie and you became good friends but Sheriff Taylor did not like you having such a big influence on Opie. You faked taking a pocket book that Aunt Bea had thrown out and Barney found it in your possession with Aunt Bea's name in it.
I will surely miss you. I grew up with you and still watch all of the reruns I can find.

A gentle man, who's smile reflected his inner being. He may be gone, but the memories of his witt, dance and showmanship will never leave us. A man of many talents for sure
Thanks to Buddy Ebsen's great life and career, from the earliest days of dance-company work in New York to the many beloved television series he so gracefully guided through the choicest neighborhoods of Hollywood, this man has left many gifts for his countrymen. Among these are the blessings of his pursuit of so many twists and turns on the trails of stage and television adventure, whereupon he showed us that, even in hard times, we can bear down and make our way through the gateways, grinning all the way. If things get tough next year, we can take a cue from Jed's nephew Jethro and set ourselves up as special Hollywood presidential candidate media-booking agents: with so many folks running for President, there's bound to be enough work to go around! To store up all the television travelogues Buddy Ebsen has left us, why Granny, it'll take the whole back side of the barn!
Uncle Jed, you'll always be remembered!!
I grew up on the "Beverly Hillbillies" and my family still sings the theme song all the time. My condolences to Mr. Ebsen's family and to all who loved him.

To The Family of Buddy Ebsen:
I am saddened to hear of Buddy's passing. Please accept my condolences and my prayers. He will be missed by many.
To the Ebsen family. Just a few words to show how important Buddy was to my family. He was one of the more important moments that I share with my grandfather. Together, "Papa" and I would watch The Beverly Hillbillies and later on Barnaby Jones. My grandfather could solve cases before they were solved on the show. I was just a little girl when both shows aired and today my own kids, ages 14, 11, and 7 enjoy the reruns of The Hillbilles. Your family has my deepest smypathy.
To The Ebsen Family,
Our Heart goes out to you in the loss of such a special and treasured man. I am the Pastor of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Austell, Georgia and we will be praying for you in your loss. My own Grandfather father passed away 29 years ago and was the splitting image of Buddy. All I ever saw Grampa Edens wear was Blue Jean Overalls and had many of the same manerisms as the Character Jed. So everytime I watched the Beverly Hillbillies I saw my Grandpa. Buddy has always be an idol of mine as a simple, honest and down to earth actor. He will be missed. My Wife Theresa and 2 Children, Philip (8) and Danielle (9)also send their love and still enjoy the Beverly Hillbillies.
In His Love, Pastor Byron Edens
Good-bye Buddy... You gave all of us decades of entertainment and smiles... your genius is preserved on film so that future generations will enjoy your work as much as we did. Fare thee well Jed...
From Don and family

When our earthly life is gone
It goes into an eternal rest
Because our time here on earth has been justly spent
To our life here on earth we’re born
After this we learn to deal with toils and strife
When our life ‘s work on earth is done
It’s God’s will and he says ‘well done”
When we’re in our eternal rest
After living our earthly best
God has taken us from our earthly trials and pain
Then we go to our eternal rest and gain
I will truly miss Buddy Ebsen. He was a fine actor. God Bless
I watched reruns of"The Beverly Hillbilly's" growing up, as my kids are doing the same. At the ages of 9 & 5 they enjoy those "old shows" as they call them. I tell them they may be old, but they are the best. Recently we saw the episode of Andy Griffith that Buddy was in. That is one of our favorites too.
God blessed Buddy with a long and successful life. He will be missed.

We have always appreciated that Mr. Ebsen was a man of principle. He was a true patriot. We have great respect for him.
Mr. Ebsen truly was one of my most favorite actors! I was one of those kiddo's who immitated Davy Crockett with my own coonskin hat! I loved him in the Beverly Hillbillies too, and also Barnaby Jones. He was such a real, genuine person - not artificial at all. He is very much loved and shall be missed by all.
With sincerest sympathy to his family.
Buddy - many hours of laughter you have provided to me. Will miss you very much.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. My father spoke of the times he and Buddy swam and played together in our local lake. I am glad that they were able to cross paths if only for a short time. I hope they met again on their new journey with the Lord.

Mr. Ebsen was a true actor. His
show was one of the funniest that I
remember watching growing up. He was what an uncle should represent and it is sad that there isn't more
family oriented shows for kids to watch and laugh about. He will be missed.

I'm saddened to hear of Buddy's passing. I enjoyed his portrayals of different characters on TV shows, and always thought of him as a class act. I pray that God's peace & comfort will be with all of you during this time.
I grew up with "Buddy". First as Jed Clampett and then as Barnaby Jones. I felt that he always portrayed those characters, with some humor, as honorable men. I was proud to have known him, even if it was only thru television and the media. He will be missed.
I first watched Buddy in Davy Crockett and have enjoyed his acting career throughout the years. He will
be missed, but if God needs a sidekick, he's got one in Buddy.
