Aunt Kay,
I remember your cranberry relish and easy humility, your love of fresh bread and your simple tastes.

And I remember how much you were like that woman they named the Lake Wobegon Catholic Church after: Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibility.
My father, your brother, always liked that name.

As you wrote me once, "may all the good things be yours, for you and the ones you hold dear."

And may we all meet again some day, though no hurry.

Dear Aunt Kay,
Did you know how truly vexed your brother Frank was to learn -- some time late in his life -- that you weren't a "K"athleen, but a "C"athleen?! Now that you are home with him again, you can even ask him!

You took care of so many people in your lifetime, it is lovely to think that you are now being taken care of by our loving God in heaven.

I will always remember our trips to Lynn ... and your baking! Love you and miss you, Beth

Gram,
Growing up I spent many summers on vacation with my family at your house; it's as fresh in my mind as yesterday. You always welcomed us in your home. You were always loving, kind, shared your Acheson humor and wit and a great cook to. Years ago you started something beautiful that will go on and on; you are the loving mother of generations of Acheson's that will continue to grow.
Thanks for being my Grandmother.
Love,
Norm Jr.

SAFELY HOME:

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

Gram,

See even those of us who are not related to you still call you Gram!
I will never forget how you and Dottie always took me in when my home life got too crazy. I can remember coming down there without shoes or glasses one day after a particulary bad scene. You never asked questions, just opened the door and your hearts. I don't think I could have made it without you (and Julie, of course!. My fondest memory of Elvir Street? Gram letting us dance our little hearts out to a very loud 45 record (my
kids don't even know what a record
is, much less a 45) -- Tommy James and the Shondells.

love and miss you all,

Trish

Mrs. Acheson - Thanks for being a wonderful role model- and demonstrating what a person with faith, a strong will and a lot of determination can accomplish. Julie speaks of you often, and while we know she will miss you, we are sure that you will still be watching over her from heaven.

Aunt Kay, I want to thank you for letting me stay at your house all those nights. You always made me feel welcome. Even though I cried every night I was there, I really did enjoy myself. I'll never forget you(or the Whoopie Pies or Bazaar Fudge). Love, Kitty

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they ar happy. Eskimo Legend.

Gram, you have always been my inspiration to keep going and be the best that I can. I miss you. Julie
