We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Landis Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to troops in Afghanistan this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Christopher A. Landis US Army Specialist. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.

May the God of all comfort ~
give you a peace
Forever I remember this week as it is when I lost my own father, Ed's eldest uncle, David Leaman Hess, Jr. (1921-February 14, 1958) and in 1958 CJ's father, Dr. Clarence Rutt, was one of my Dad's attending doctors at LGH. I was 11 years old and my father was 36 years old. My 36 year old mother was left with 5 young children… and now in 2014 Drew was killed on February 10 in his 28th year. Our tears flow for both of these great men… both great losses… and all I can say is love, hugs, and prayers in the midst of these painful times.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of great loss. May our Lord and your faith in Him bring you much peace.
We had the pleasure of meeting your wonderful son, as he is a dear friend of our son, Eric. God Bless you.
Ed and CJ, How my Dad loved you, Ed! He considered you "OUR" pilot in Hitadipa and he took that very seriously, up at 5am every morning to pray for you and your family. May you be comforted knowing your precious Drew stands in very good company! Amy Cutts-Meredith
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
Prayers to your family in this difficult time.
God will make you firm; he will make you strong. (1Pet. 5:10)

Ed and family,
Deepest condolences to you and the family. Know that your Astar Pilot family is praying for you and stands with you.
I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Christopher will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part. I salute you.
For those missing in action;for those who didn't make it home.I know you're in God's presence you are not alone. For every neatly folded flag;for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory. I salute you, allow me the honorto salute you with permission let me say even though I hold no rank know that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part. I salute you.
I Salute You.

To the family and friends of SPC CHRISTOPHER LANDIS, everyone in the Fort Bragg area feels his loss. We are fiercely proud of our Airborne warriors, and owe all of them a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. Now Christopher is gone far too soon, and all of us will have less light in our worlds. I am always filled with gratitude for his patriotic service to America, and for those who supported him and mentored him in his efforts. God bless you SPC LANDIS. Your mission is complete.
