Fair winds and following seas sailor.
Thank you for your service to this nation.
Daniel Keyes, author of "Flowers for Algernon" passed on just the other day. It reminded me of something.
I just retired from 42 years working as the building supervisor at Hillman Library, University of Pittsburgh. One memory that remains fresh is one day in the mid to late 1970s, someone said, hey, isn't that the actor sitting over there across the floor (ground floor in Hillman)? I looked over and knew who it was, Cliff Robertson, I said, in Pittsburgh for something (haven't been able to discover what). I did not want to bother him, but did have to walk over past him to pin down that it was truly him, and it was. I had viewed "Charly" (interpretation of the book "Flowers for Algernon") and it is still with me more than half a century later. I was young then, and did not realize the importance we have for each other, whether movie star or library staff, otherwise I would have done what I would do now, share my appreciation of his gift. I am absolutely positive that Cliff is doing just fine in spirit, and he certainly has my full appreciation. He had such a great voice, as well.
Watching "Gidget" this evening. You were great even in a light comedy.
oh, i love you in the beautiful "obsession" (1976).
Rest In Peace, Mr. Robertson. You Were A True Talent. See You On That Beautiful Day, Kind Sir.
To Cliff Robertson,
You were a very talented actor. My prayers go to you and your family. Lisa Weiner
A wonderful actor. Sadly missed RIP
I just found out that Cliff passed away last Sept. and today is June 10/12. I feel as if I've been punched in the stomach. So sorry for this loss. Additionally, sorry...I'm a former nun and had such a crush on his deeply handsome face...had I have know him, I would have given up the veil in a New York second!
God bless you, dear Cliff!
I was saddened to hear that the wonderful Cliff Robertson has passed away. As a child of the 60's I grew up watching his movies. I loved that he made every motion picture so special with his presence and believeablity, as in the fantastic movies Obsession, Charlie, Brainstorm and the list goes on. There was a real gentleman behind those handsome eyes that was pure class. Bravo Mr. Robertson for all the years of joy and entertainment you gave to all your fans in film. My heart goes out to his family at this very sad time of loss. Blessings to you all.
Pure pleasure...your movies, your attitude and that 1000 watt smile. So much talent and heart. Bless your family, they must miss you so much. I know I do!
Cliff, I remember meeting you in Nevada at the Flyingmranch. It was a true pleasure to spend time with you. You will be missed.
I never met the gentleman, but I have the highest regard for him as an actor. He was an outstanding and belivable performer. He never made a bad movie...
I will miss his performances...

When God made Cliff he broke the mold. Dearly loved by fans everywhere.
When I see the name "Cliff Robertson" I know that the picture will be excellent. He was one of the finest actors I have had the pleasure to watch. He will be missed by this dedicated fan.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
You made us smile, laugh and cry.
I was a small child and I remember him and the movie crew filming some scenes across the street from my house in South Boston Ma for the movie Charly. I remember clearly a line from the movie exclaiming, "I made it I made it". And some of my friends and I yelled back....he made it he made it. He and the rest of the crew and crowd laughed at that and I remembered thinking later that here was a guy who was not all caught up in himself and could laugh easily. Too bad there aren't more like him left.
Fair winds and following seas.......

Dearest Robertson Family,
My husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to escort him in 2008 at the Sons of the American Revolution National in Sacramento, CA. He was a fine and wonderful man and we were genuinely touched by his kindness.

With our deepest sympathies,

You have constantly been in my heart and prayers over the loss of your dear father, who I fortunately had the esteem pleasure of meeting several times in Miami. So impressive and kind to me.
Cliff Robertson has been one of my favorite actors since I was 12 years old in 1981 right after I saw Gidget. As the Big Kahuna, I thought he was such a great actor and his presence in the film was the highlight. Since then, I have followed his career and have watched many of his from the 50s, 60s, and 70s including Picnic, Autumn Leaves, Charly, PT 109, Three Days of the Condor, Obsession, Masquerade, two of the best episodes of the Twilight Zone (The Dummy, and One Hundred Yards Over the Rim) and so much more. I am so sad to hear he passed away. He will always have a place in my heart forever for being such a great and talented actor and for being one of the most handsome men in the film industry. RIP Mr. Robertson.
I grew up in the 60s and Mr. Robertson's role in CHARLY inspired me to view the mentally challenged in a very different and postive way. I enjoyed all of his performances in the movies as he was a gifted actor. My regards to his family on this loss, but I am glad it was a peaceful passing for a gift and talented man.
I was in my 20's (early 1970's) and was driving from Southampton back to Hampton Bays at about 2:00 am one morning (coming back from from a club). There was not a car on the road back then and barreling down the road towards me came this speeding convertible with an attractive guy driving. I looked over and it was Cliff Robertson! He was so handsome! He was a great actor and BIGGER THAN LIFE! He always seemed like a regular guy on all the talk shows whenever he was interviewed. He never seemed impressed with himself. A real gentleman. He has a lot of fans and will be missed!
My condolences to his family. Cliff Robertson was one of the greats! Unfortunately, it seems all the great ones are passing away like Peter Falk back August. I am sure he will be missed as well.
Cliff was a great actor no matter which movie I saw cliff I enjoyed. You will be missed especially by me, RIP, Cliff.
Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us.
May your days be brightened knowing that Cliff was loved by so many & you are not alone in your sorrow. My heart & prayers are with you. When you feel sad & alone look to the sky for comfort and know he will always be there watching over you. God Bless, KM (Olympia, WA)

cliff was a great man in ever way, and will be missed by all. god bless, and fly high , my pilot friend.
I met Cliff in 1989 where I worked at AT&T Bell Labs. I mentioned his Oscar but that I really enjoyed him as villian Shame on the Batman TV show. He laughed and told me that when he is asked about his most enjoyable role, this was it. He said it was so much fun and was even quoting some of the lines to me. I had my picture taken with him and he autographed a photo for me (which I have framed on the wall). To Jerry, Cliff Robertson and he added "Shame" below. What a nice man. I will never forget our meeting and will miss him.
I spent some time with Cliff on the set of Falcon Crest at the Schellville airport in Sonoma County, It was an aviation episode, what a great day. I will always treasure the photos we took.
I needed to Cry...
Rest in peace
Great actor he will be missed. I liked PT-109.
"Did Cliff Robertson also star in the night sitcom of "Falcon Crest" for 1 or 2 seasons. First time I had saw him for years, but he left all of a sudden, was killed off at the start of a new season without explanation. Maybe illness prevented him from coming back. Despite the bad reviews I loved him in JFK.
I loved Cliff as JFK in PT-109 and I thought that movie was great!! He also looked so handsome in the Naval Officer uniform. Oddly, last weekend I was watching a JFK documentary about JFK and they mentioned PT-109. I thought of Cliff immediately and wondered how he was doing. I am happy to see that he lived a good long life. Bless his family.

Cliff was my father's very close friend for 60 + years, they went to college together at Antioch. My father was Fred Woodress who introduced and inducted Cliff into the Aeronautical Hall of Fame several years ago. They stayed in touch through out their lives and I know that in death they will be together again. Bless his family in their time of need. Bless Cliff and God's speed.
Cliff Robertson Family,
I knew your father for a brief time as a child, during the filming of JW Coop when he worked with my father Mel Lambert on that film. Cliff was at our home several times as a guest, and he was always so kind and sincere, a real gentlemen. I enjoyed his performance in Wild Hearts, and some of his early work, such as the Twilight Zone. He will be missed, my condolences to your family.
He was a good and decent human being. His smile and mellow voice will be missed.

I always loved seeing Cliff act. I especially enjoyed him in Charley. I know his family will miss him.
Just an incredible man, he will be missed. There are none like him to walk in his footsteps.
I always thought from the first time I saw him in a movie that he was so good looking. When I heard of his death right after celebrating his birthday, that was sad. He will be missed as he was one of the great actors.
My condolences to the Robertson Family. He lived a good life, despite the setbacks. He will be greatly missed. I remember him so vividly in the roles he played even though they were 2nd best, he was still a great actor. May the God of comfort be with you all at this most stressful time.

Rest in peace, Mr. Robertson. Loved you in the Gidget movie and as Mr. Kennedy in PT109.
I have always admired your courage with your exposure of Begelman. You were always a favorite actor of ours.
I loved your soft spoken but matter of fact mannerisms and have recently watched a few of your movies. You will be missed but not forgotten.
I first met Cliff at Soaring contest in Winter Haven Florida many years ago. He was a great pilot and lover of aviation in general. Over the years our pathes crossed at various flying meets and he was always the perfect gentlman and was ready to talk flying. I know his family must be very proud of all his acomplishments both on and off the screen, Our love and prayers go out to them at their loss. God's Speed old friend.
I loved him from the 1st time I saw Charly and I was only 6 years old. Definitely one of my favorite actors. May he Rest in Peace. God Bless his family and keep them close.

The loss of a great man and a great actor - "Charly" will remain (in my mind) one of the all time greats - and I will think of him with great fondness whenever one of his films is shown
I adored Cliff Robertson. I met him in the 70's at a Golf Tournament. He was such a true gentleman. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.
My brother-in-law, Jack Reilly always enjoyed his phone conversations with Cliff the last few years before he passed away. Cliff would call , give a phoney name and ask for Jack. Jack would respond to me ," that is Cliff', Take the phone and then they would talk for a half an hour. That was a relationship that came from their roles in Mr. Roberts. It was a pleasure to see that friendship last those many years. Cliff spoke at Jack's funeral in 2009 and now the two of them can continue their conversations undisturbed.
My sincere sympathy to all. My mother and father "loved" the movies you were in. I too, was partial to the war movies. Rest in Peace Mr. Robertson.....

I am so sorry for your loss..He was a great actor. My favorites were PT 109, Charly and Autumn Leaves..We've lost another great one.
I had the pleasure of being Cliff's tennis pro in the Hamptons from 1997-2002. We spent many hours on his synthetic grass court playing mixed doubles. Cliff was an extraordinary human being. I am grateful to have known him and called him a friend. I will cherish the memories. God bless you Cliff...
I am sorry to learn of his death. PT109 was the first and only movie, I was fortunate to watch with my father. I have wonderful memories of my father and the movie.
R.I.P. Mr. Robertson. I was always a fan. He was the first celebrity I saw "up close" -- at JFK Airport on my first trip to NYC in 1978. It made my day! Beth (Dadeville, AL)
Cliff Robertson was truely one of the GREATS! My favorite movies of his were the war movies. I have seen them all many times. He was a man of great class, style, and dignity. He will be missed! My condolences to his family & his fans that will miss him dearly. God Bless him.
I am not surprised about Mr. Robertson's honest and integrity in notifying the authorities about something that was wrong and that ahould have been exposed. I remember when that had happened and was so sorry that Mr. Robertson was
"punished" by struggling to get an acting job for four years because he had done the right thing. He was gorgeous and the epitome of class. He was a great actor especially in "P.T. 109" and "Charley," and he will never be forgotten as a very talented actor.
God Bless You and your Family. I have been a fan since I was a little girl. He will be greatly missed. God bless his family and friends and be with them in their time of need and sorrow.
I never thought he was appreciated as an actor as much as he should have been. RIP
As a teenager, I had a mad crush on Cliff Robertson. I never would have left him for Bill Holden in the movie "Picnic". All his performances were perfection. My condolences to his family.
My deepest sympathy to Mr. Robertson's family. I always felt he was not given credit for being the accomplished actor he was. He gave his best to each character he portrayed. He certainly had the integrity that in needed in Hollywood today. He will be missed.
Did he have the X factor that the "starters' had? Probably not. Did his character and integrity shine through in every role? Absolutely.
I greatly appreciated Mr. Robertson's contribution to the original "Spider-Man" film as Uncle Ben, the character embodying the moral compass of the story. I know it was a small part and late in his career, but the warmth and quiet strength he brought to the role was vitally important to the success of the story's translation from print to motion picture. I grew up with Spider-Man and I am grateful that an actor of Mr. Robertson's caliber accepted the task of bringing Uncle Ben to life. I pray God's blessings for his entire family; may you feel His peace in this time of loss.
What a great guy and soul you have always been to me.
La Jolla will never be the same without you.
La Jolla, CA
My deepest sympathy to Mr. Robertson's family; I will miss him, a great actor and a wonderful man. Rest in Peace, my friend.

To the family of Cliff Robertson,
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the loss of a great actor. I loved him in ' PT 109 " as Lt. j.g. John F Kennedy, in The Devil's Brigade, but I loved his protrayal as a young American Soldier Lieutenant Philip Nolan in " The Man without a Country. " Along with the movie " Charly, " I thought those are the movies that I will most recognize and associate him with. He was one of a kind. I wish you all my deepest sympathies on your loss, and may he rest in peace.
Peter F J Lieggi

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for allowing us to express our thoughts about Mr. Robertson. He brought great joy to many lives through his work in film. May God bless and comfort your family.
I have never "NOT LIKED" a movie in which Cliff acted. I recently watched "The Honey Pot" on Netflix. As usual, his acting was great. He never lost his (really) good looks, either. I commend his honesty in revealing the compromised check. Although it cost him a good deal regarding his professional life, he was truly a professional in and for his integrity. :Thank You, Cliff for all the entertaining movies in which you acted. I will continue to search for the ones offered. RIP, Dear Man!
What a great actor...Did enjoy his
performance. My condolence
Sincere condolences on the passing of your Father. Well lover actor and a very handsome man. Always remember his unique style of acting.

Probably one of the best and most underated actors in the history of hollywood. I know he won the Oscar for Charley, and did a great job as JFK, but my favorite role was in 633 Squadron. It will always be one of my favorite movies. RIP you dear soul.
My first exposure to Cliff Robertson's acting, as a small boy, was The TV Batman episode of "It's how you play the game" (1966). Funny, that I'd remember that.
ANYTIME I HEAR THE NAME CLIFF ROBERTSON I CAN HEAR THAT WONDERFUL VOICE AS PLAIN AS IF HE WERE BESIDE ME. WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I HAD A HUGE CRUSH ON HIM BECAUSE OF HIS GOOD LOOKS AND THAT VOICE. RIP IN PEACE. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.
God Bless him, he is in his starring role. My sympathies to the family. Mr. Robertson is and will always be a 'leading' man in my book along with all the others.
A wonderful actor through the years, who we enjoyed.
Our deepest sympathy to the family.
Robertson displayed enormous courage and integrity in exposing David Begelman. For more than his screen and stage performances, I shall remember Cliff Robertson as a man of extraordinary character and decency. - Andrew A. Limber - Phoenix, Arizona
May he rest in peace.....
Most sincere sympathies to his family, and I thank them for sharing him with all his fans.
I am unbelievably sad at the passing of Cliff Robertson the best actor ever and the handsomest man ever! I always hoped to meet him he was a class act all the way. I always followed everything he acted in. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
Micheal L. Nesbitt

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
I will miss this fine actor. I enjoyed him in 'My 6 Loves' with Debbie Reynolds and other good actors and actresses. He was fun in 'Sunday In New York' and other clean movies.
My sympathy to his family. It is hard to lose a loved one.

With the passing of Cliff Robertson, we have lost an incredibly talented and dedicated actor. For years, I would show "Charly" to my high school freshman English students...Mr. Robertson's touching portrayal of Charly Gordon profoundly helped convey the many facets and themes of the story. As a US Navy veteran of WW II, my father-in-law watched "PT 109" countless times because of Mr. Robertson's skillful depiction of a young JFK. My sincerest condolences are offered to the family, friends, and fellow fans of Cliff Robertson.
To his family: Mr. Robertson was one of the entertainment industry's finest, and under-appreciated, actors. He sacrificed fame for principle and in my book that's a winner, and a giant, among men. May his blessed memory be a constant source of comfort to you for all time. Heartfelt condolences.
Sleep well, Mr. Robertson. You have taken your final bow on earth, but oh how you will charm them in heaven! You were a fine actor and a class act all the way. I read on another condolence board about when Mr. Robertson had re-construction done on his house, he gave everyone who worked on it a trip to Hawaii when it was finished! What a guy!!!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Robertson as a small child while he was filming "Ace Eli and Rodger of the Skies" in my home town of Mt. Hope, KS back in the early 70's. The movie tanked, but it's something I'll never forget.
I am one of the people lucky enough to be touched by Cliff. I produced most of the AT&T spots. Cliff was a consummate professional and cared deeply about the people he counted on but most of all... his daughters. I know he will be missed...
Always liked his quiet manner. Wonderful actor who had so much class.
Mr. Robertson was the consummate professional, a credit to his profession. He gave the public many happy memories through film. May he rest in peace...
My Deepest Condolences To Everyone.
May you Cherish the "Happy Memories" of Cliff in your Hearts Forever.
My Thoughts & Prayers are with Everyone during these days of Deep Sorrow.
He was a Special Man in his Full Circle of Life.
He was a wonderful actor. He was superb in PT 109, as well as many other films. I pray the fond memories all of you have will comfort you in the coming days. He will never be forgotten as his works will live forever.
My condolences to his family and close friends. I always had a crush on him in the 60s as a kid and really liked Flowers of Agernon and his acting in the movie version "Charly". God bless.
SO SORRY ABOUT CLIFF. MAY GOD BLESS THE FAMILY
God be with his family and close friends.
Mr. Robertson, you have always been one of my favorites, may you rest in peace and God give comfort to your loved ones. Lori J., Alpharetta, GA
I met Cliff many times at EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, WI. He was warm, entertaining, kind hearted. He took the time to talk to his "fans" - I will remember how he always had a smile on his face and listening to his wonderful stories. Cliff always talked about his love for his family and read a poem for his daughter who passed. I will miss him , RIP Cliff, EAA won't be the same without you.
Deepest sympathies to this family and loved ones. Mr. Robertson was a GREAT actor of the wholesome days of entertainment. Unfortunately, they're not making any more like him. He was always classy. He will be greatly missed. God bless.
Rest In Peace my favorite actor.
Rest Easy, Cliff. One of my favorite movies, which wasn't mentioned, is "Three Days of the Condor." We will all miss you.
I was young when I watched PT-109 but it made history come alive for me. I sat in total concentration to see the whole movie, And Charlie, changed my life forever. He was a good man, and a wonderful actor, and I am so glad he touched my life in such a positive way. Cheryl O'Hare, IA
His character in real life out shone even his film characters. A life well lived, and yet another wonderful person who was an adopted child. He waits in a better place.
A real man's man , with a tender side that made him loved.
Another great gone from Hollywood! So sad.I always enjoyed his acting so much. The good days when actors kept their clothes are gone, I guess. Elizabeth, Va.
My thoughts and prayers are with All the Family.
He was a Great actor. Will be missed for sure,
Rest in peace and thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
RIP (Charly) Flowers for Algernon! You were an amazing actor.
God Bless a great actor and sweet man. He was also head of the Young Eagles for several years which was a group that gave youngsters a chance to learn what flying was all about. I will remember him most for that and the chance I had to meet him at the airshow in Oshkosh years ago. He had a great smile and a strong presence indeed. Godspeed my friend, and blue skies forever.
I never cared much for the Hollywood actors but Cliff always seemed like a straight shooter and down to earth honest guy and was willing to sacrifice his career to make things right. Actors today should take a page from his book and learn what beyond "Reproac" means. I will miss you Cliff.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I idolized the man and his amazing way of portraying the characters on screen. Charly was my favorite. He will be missed.
He will be missed. He was a great actor. We loved him in all his movies, especially "Charly". We are so sorry for your loss and offer our sympathies. May the "God of all comfort," give you the strength to cope during this difficult time.
America has lost yet another true blue citizen! Mr Robertson was a great actor and PT-109 was one of my favorite war movies.
He would have made a superb president of the United States
May you rest in peace.
I got to know Cliff Robertson during Morris Udall's campaign for president in 1976. He was a wonderful man, thoughtful and serious about his politics. My sympathies to his family on this loss.
How ironic that I watched PT 109 the day I learn of your passing. You were a wonderful actor and consummate professional. You will remain forever etched in history.
To the Robertson Family...Cliff was a consumate actor, making each character he played as believable as possible. So sorry to hear of his passing, and how sad that he died right after his birthday. I do hope he had a peaceful passing. Best wishes to comfort you in this time of emotion and grief. Linda Robertson
You elevated everything you ever appeared in, this planet included.
He was in a movie in Columbia,SC many years ago and I had the opportunity as an "extra" to see how he interacted with fans and the public in general. He displayed a kind and gentle humility toward all which I thought was probably out of character for a gentleman of his stature. It was evident to any bystander that he was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I enjoyed many of his movies and I will truly miss him. Jack Evans, Columbia, SC
Such a lovely man and a fine actor..my sincere and deepest sympathy to his family
Sad to see another loss of talent
May he perform for God now...know he will be greatly missed by many
Mr. Robertson was a special part of my life where his talent and work were always time of appreciation and enjoyment. So glad I was able to be on earth the same time as Mr. Robertson.
I was honored with the opportunity to meet Mr. Robertson at a celebrity autograph signing in Los Angeles about ten years ago. He was always my favorite leading man, with his rugged handsomeness and kind manner. Nervous to meet him, I gushed that he was still handsome at his age then... with my husband standing beside me! Not having his head shot picture from "Charly" with him, he offered to mail an autographed one to me from home in New York. Only a few days later did it come as he promised, at his expense, with a short note of his appreciation for my earlier compliments. What a class act. You will be treasured always, Mr. Robertson.
I meant Cliff with Michael Cain on set in the Philippine jungle-I was a sailor stationed at Subic Naval Base-- Cliff went out of his way to be friendly and got Michael laughing too --he was a class act-- --a great American Bruce Maiden
To Cliff's daughters;
We in Connecticut LOVED your Dear Dad. May he rest in Peace and may you find solace.
I'll always remember Cliff in the movie "Charly". He was such a great actor. R.I.P.
To the the family of Cliff Robertson - May God give you peace and comfort through his word and the Lord Jesus Christ during this time of sorrow, I know that he will be missed by many.
A fine actor. May the angels lead him into paradise.
He was a marvelous actor. In addition to his great movie roles, I remember him in the lead role of one of the best episodes of The Twilight Zone ever, "Over the Rim." He had a true American authenticity about him.
Rest in peace Mr.Robertson. May God bless your family in their time of sorrow.

Loved the Twilight Zone episode where he played the ventriloquist...
I wish to first give my condolences to the family. I would just like to say that I will really miss Mr. Robertson. He was such a wonderful actor and I always thought he was so good looking. I must say that the statement his daughter Stephanie gave was absolutely beautiful and that shows what a wonderful person on stage and off that he was. God Speed Mr. Robertson.
Truly sorry to hear the news of Mr. Robertson's passing. One of the GREATS. Many movies but I still get a bang out of the two Twilight Zone Episodes he was in. The Dummy (as a Ventriloquist ) and A Hundred Yards over the Rim. As a pioneer from a wagon train lost in the desert in 1847... suddenly finds himself into present day New Mexico year 1961. A fine performance indeed and many great thoughts in this Twilight Zone film.
May God comfort the family and friends. Great memories and a fine man. One who was his own man and followed his own path - and left

Wonderful memories of his movies. Thanks.
I saw "Charly" when I was a kid in the sixties, and always thought highly of Mr. Robertson's talent after that. I followed him in many of his movies, and always enjoyed his performances. I was glad to see that he still had the spark in the 2000's and did a fantastic job as "Uncle Ben". Sorry to see him pass, but I know he is in a good place now. My Condolences to the family.
To his family: He was an excellent actor and admired by many as an outstanding human being. When he revealed the "Hollywood financial scandal," he exhibited great courage. I am very sorry for your loss. JM, Austerlitz, NY
What a great actor, rest in peace. Mike Andrews
I always admired him - thought he was good at what he did. He seemed like a real person and I'm sure his family will miss him.
Rest in peace -
Sorry for your loss. He was a great actor. RIP in Cliff Robertson.
Dear Family of Cliff Robertson,
I grew up in the early 1960s when the movie "PT-109" was made. It left quite an impression on me and after that movie, I always admired Mr. Cliff Robertson. I also am old enough to remember President John F. Kennedy, whom Mr. Robertson portrayed in that excellent World War II movie. In 7th grade, our teacher, a Catholic nun who worked with mentally disabled children, introduced us to the movie "Charly" and that movie also left a deep impression on me. I will never forget the movies "PT-109" and "Charly." May Cliff Robertson be at peace with the Lord. This world was blessed to have known him. He touched our lives for the better. He was a wonderful actor.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Thank you, Cliff, for all that you gave us.
I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Robertson's passing. He was an excellent actor, so debonair, and extremely handsome. May he rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family.
One of my favorite movies was "PT109" and Robertson played Kennedy to a tee. Sometimes he would be spotted on the Island and it is a loss to the film industry. RIP Cliff Robertson, you will be missed by a former Long Islander.
What a beautiful man he was and a dedicated classy actor..They just can't find anymore "his" type now.' to star in roles..Gone are the wholesome days. Pat M Danvill, Va.
Stephanie and Heather: I had the pleasure of working with your Dad on a corporate video. We planned on meeting for dinner the night before the shoot and he called to tell me he had to run an errand and he might be late - during dinner he confessed that the errand was that he needed to buy some table linens for one of you for your new home/apt. This was around 1992. We thought it was so sweet that here he was in San Francisco running around making sure he got his daughter a gift for her new home. During dinner we found out that I knew Bud and Cynthia from my time as a volunteer in Miami campaigns - small world. He was a consummate professional and spent all his breaks chatting with the young crew. He also got a kick out of original Charly movie posters that I had been able to track down and he autographed them all for me. I was able to find additional ones that he told me he really wanted to get so that he could show them to the two of you. He was a Dad first and an actor second. My sincere sympathies. He will certainly be missed.
You will be missed! Now you have joined my dad~
he will be happy to see you!
all my love
