Thank you for being a symbol of courage and hope for all Filipino people. You have shown us how to love beyond oneself and show care for our country and people. You will always be in our hearts.

My most profound sympathies to the Aquino family. Your family has sacrificed much for the good of your country, as Cory said. Yet, she put herself forward for the good of others, setting an example for us all. As a Peace Corps volunteer who was there during the people power revolution, I felt priviledged to witness the hope and determination she inspired. My own daughter's name is Cory.
August 10, 2009
Sincere condolences to the Aquino Family. Tita Cory is the icon of democracy and will always be remembered for her good deeds not only to the Philippines but to all Filipinos. Being one of the many heroes of the 1986 People Power, I
have always admired the leadership of
Tita Cory.

I was not in the Philippines when she became the President of the Philippines. I left Manila in 1967 and only go home as balikbayan. I became more interested in listening to her US speech on 'you tube' when President Cory came to the States and made her US speech, everyone were clued to listen to her soft spoken voice. She did not read her book, she spoke from her heart and it was very impressive. Thru TFC, I learned about more people who were/are in politics, entertainments, etc. Thanks for the new technologies we have that I am able to click to 'you tube' and listened to her US speech. To Kris she means well and smart. Kris is honest and not afraid to speak up. God bless you all. Kaming lubos nakikiramay. Thank you TFC for sharing to us.

God bless Aquino family. Pangulong Cory you will always stay in our heart.

Aloha & God Bless to the Aquino Family. I grew up in Hawaii and witnessed the atrocity of the marcos reign. I was a junior in high school when Corazon Aquino became President, what a difference she made in the lives of everyone she touched. Even though I was in Hawaii we could feel the change in the air. I have many, many Filipino friends with family still living in the Phillipines. I can tell you they were so joyous as to the change in their families lives. What a blessing President Aquino was and as her memory will continue so will her legacy & her love for her people.
Many Blessings on the Family of President Aquino.

I was a college student in the Philippines when Ninoy Aquino was assasinated. My admiration to the late President Cory Aquino and my condolences to the family. My late father joined me in Honolulu in 1992. We lived 2 minutes away where the late President Marcos was burried. I asked my father if he wants to visit the tomb. He flatly told me no, I don't want to pay any respect, and because of my own awareness of what had happened during Marcos years,I didn't visited the place. My father was one of those World War II veterans granted US citizenship. If he still alive, he would be a proud filipino today. To our mother of democracy who carried her self with dignity, humility, courage, and unwavering faith to our God was an example of any future leaders in the world. Paalam Madam Cory!

I was just only 8 years old when I saw on the television how the late President Cory Aquino stand with the crowd fought for our democracy. I remembered, my parents were also praying that Pres. Cory would succeed among the rest of my neighbors.

Now that I fully understand how lucky we are to have a hero like her. What might have been the Philippines right now without Pres. Cory? God made her and Ninoy an instruments to freed Philippines from Marcos' dictatorship.

Filipinos mourned of her loss but we have to realize that everything in this world are all in purpose. God has given us His greatest instrument to help us out and now that time has come that HE will grant the greatest reward to our dearest Pres. Cory Aquino and that is...living with HIM forever in heaven.

She made us proud to be a Filipino. My only hope is that, whatever she had started will not be wasted. We will just pray that somehow, there would be another Cory Aquino in the coming generations to help and protect the Filipino people.

My family and I truly love and adore you as our dearest President of the Republic of the Philippines. Thank you for your love to all your countrymen. We will surely miss you!

to our beloved president, to a great Filipino and most honored President Corazon C. Aquino - "CORY", I thank you w/ all my heart because though you dont know me or have met me in person, you sent me a congratulatory letter at the same time i received a picture of Sec. ALfredo Bengzon "Alran", your Sec. of Health. This was after having appointed as the Chief of Hospital of Kolambugan GEn. Hospital in 1986 during the re-organization of our govt. which you ordered. I was sad because i lost that letter after i retired in 2001.I will have a guilty conscience if i will not show my gratitude for having received that sincere letter by not acknowledging your letter. as a tribute to you, i owed so much and it was a great privilege to have served our people under your honest and sincere leadership. May God bless your soul...Thank you Madame President.

tita cory, i love you and simula nung people power lagi na kitang inaabangan kasi that time i was only 9 year old, when my mother asked me to buy cooking oil sa isang tindahan dito sa amin occidental mindoro, dahil ang tatay ko ay supporters mo talaga tinalian nya ako ng dilaw na laso sa ulo, pumunta ako sa tindahan para bumili, sad to say wala akong nabili kasi cory daw ako sila pala ay marcos,so umuwi akong walang nabili.kaya simula noon naging bahagi ka na ng karanasan ko,karanasan na laging nakaukit sa aking puso.naalala ko pa na laging may babasahin ang father ko noon na tungkol sainyong pamilya, meron pa ngang komeks na naglalaman ng kwento kay senador ninoy at sa inyong buong pamilya, doon ko kayo unang hinangaan kasi lagi kayong kinukwento ng tatay ko sa amin.naalala ko noon laging sinasabi ng tatay ko na di pakami ipinapanganak ay may utang na daw kami,at salamat nga daw sa inyo dahil sa inyo makakaahon na ang pilipinas mula sa utang at sa martial law...salamat po mahalkong PANGULO maging sa iyong buong pamilya... i promise anumang takbuhin ng mga anak mo sa paglilingkod sa bayan aasahan po ninyo ang aming suporta. i love you and God bless.

August 05, 2009
Last Sunday, I insisted my mom to come with me to Tita Cory's wake in Greenhills. It didn't matter to us if it would take hours of falling in line just to see Tita Cory. And true enough, we waited 3 hours before we got a glimpse of Tita Cory. And it was all worth it! I even realized why didn't I exert an effoft to see her when she was still in her prime years and it is only now that I made this.

Since I'm working in a BPO company, we are not covered by the special holiday yesterday. But then I filed a leave yesterday just to make sure I can witness the historical event that Tita Cory will be laid to rest.

I really can't understand why I cannot move on with my daily life again with Tita Cory's death. Her passing really saddened me. I felt the same feeling of loss when I lost my father 10 years ago. It is like a heavy load on your heart. And it is on trying times like this when your life will stop and however you wanted to find courage to live again, it is still very difficult.

I feel for Tita Cory's family. And my prayer goes to them and to the rest of the Filipinos. This might be a very difficult time for all of us but, there is the good Lord who will guide and comfort us all through it all.

Tita Cory, thank you so much for showing us the true value of humility, prayerfulness and the gift of democracy. I will forever treasure those gifts you undyingly shared to us all.

Rest in paradise.

I have seen Former President Cory Aquino once when I was young and I have no close encounter nor a simple conversaton to share. But as my awakening about the story of Senator Ninoy Aquino, of his heroic deeds, his struggles to fight dictatorship during his time, and how Tita Cory continued the fight after his assasination, I could say that they are my IDOL since then. They have somehow influenced my awareness about how politics in the Phils back then.. Tita Cory has inspired me of her being a private citizen after he has stepped down as president,of being as simple as she was, as a friend and a mother. Thank you for inspiring me.. I have seen President Cory in person for the second and last time yesterday, @ Manila Cathedral. It's a different scene ths time, but I have lot to share and contemplate on this very experience.. Paalam po..Madam Cory!!

Lady Cory

Your voice, sweeet and gentle, lovely as
your image, so dainty it seems and
so cool with gift of joy and peace that
spirit love brings.

Your hidden strength and wisdom shine
from faith and hope so strong in Him,
who makes everything fair, no matter
other keeps things worst and vain.

Simple in your graceful ways, your heart full of love and care in likeness of our Mama Mary dear, to
stronghold like her giant steel, in EDSA, people power, cheers.

Without fear in action fair, your battle of triumphant gain, to Filipino people, democracy, hail, for He is there within your heart that shine for love of country into glitz of fame.

Beyond words to describe your works to everyone, inspired, with braveness like
Gabriela does for, that your husband Ninoy do, as our modern hero.

For our country, much you had done for a cause, to worldwide applause, that now mourns, "farewell our Lady, fair, you may now rest in peace in His mansion, with no more pains and glory hails!

Dear Aquino Family,
My heart cries with you as you mourn the death of your beloved mother. I have lost my mom from breast cancer in 2006 & to this day I still feel the pain. As I watch the live coverage, I am crying with you because I know & understand what you are going through. After everything dies down is when it would hurt more & that's when you will need each other as a family to draw strength from.

I will include your family in my prayers.

Sincerely,
Zenen

Thank you for the gift of democracy to all the Filipinos. You are a good example of a true leader.
August 04, 2009
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

In time of sadness, there is always comfort, and in time of grief hope and somewhere in your heart there is always courage and love. May the values and virtues you had been advocating to all our kababayan may get into their heart and become a bookmark in their mind that everything that is de-railing on their path will remember Corazon Aquino and start anew for their country and loved ones.

Chris, I'm so proud of you for being with your mom until the end. Your mom will be greatly missed and I hope this event will open the eyes of our leaders there. I have never seen such a big crowd. People showed how much they loved your mom and appreciated everything she has done for our country.

I'm so proud that my father was able to be a part of your dad's life. They are good friends. My father was working at the Officer's Club at Clark AFB at that time. I know they went to your place. I was still young at that time. We were all shocked when we heard the news that your dad was shot. My father looked for the picture with Ninoy that was taken at the tv station. He had it laminated. They were still young and so happy. My father is now 81 and I know that he's grieving with you and your family. He is so proud of your parents.

I watched the news and specially the Buzz to keep up with the events and I cried with you when you were telling us about your mom, your sister and the blanket. All these memories will stay with you and the minds of all the Filipinos.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Thank you very much Tita Cory for being the light of our country. Now you are with your loving husband. You may be gone, but will never be forgotten.

We salute to you Tita Cory. Maraming salamat po!!!

WIth sadness and gratefulness, we say goodbye to you President Aquino. You have opened the door to democracy. Although you lead for the country for a very short time, it was enough time to open up the hearts and minds for Filipinos that "Politics as usual is no longer acceptable". We hope that one day, the Philippines will be blessed with a leader that will have not only your heart but also the strength to put the Filipinos first over their own personal agenda. For those that have not been afforded the opportunities like some of us here in the US, we hope that you hang in there. If pictures and images could speak, Filipino democracy is alive and well. When somebody dies, a cloud turns into
an angel, and flies up to tell God
to put another flower on a pillow.
A bird gives the message back to
the world, and sings a silent prayer
that makes the rain cry. People dis-
appear, but they never really go away.
The spirits up there put the sun to
bed, wake up grass, and spin the
earth in dizzy circles. Sometimes you
can see them dancing in a cloud during
the day-time, when they're supposed
to be sleeping. They paint the rain-
bows and also the sunsets and make
waves splash and tug at the tide.
They toss shooting stars and listen to
wishes. And when they sing wind-
songs, they whisper to us, don't
miss me too much. The view is nice
and I'm doing just fine.
"She will live on in the hearts of everyone who loves her"....
OUR CONDOLONSENCE WITH OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY"

Thank you, President Cory, for what and who you have been to us Filipinos and to the world. I first heard of your name in 1983, when Ninoy was assassinated. I was a Grade 4 pupil then. I then followed all the events through BomboRadio... And now you join Ninoy in the Father's House, where real Life is lived. Remember us all before the Lord...
My heartfelt condolences to the Aquino family. May God bless you for all your sacrifices for the Filipino people. Thank you for sharing your mother with us.
We will never forget you, President Cory!!!

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Tita Cory,
You have no intentions but then you have responded to the highest call of service to the nation as the "plain housewife" President who was instrumental in capturing back democracy in the Philippines...whilst inspiring other nations to follow the path of peaceful democratic revolutions.
Evidently, your great sacrifices, sincere & clean, selfless service to our nation will be forever enshrined in our hearts. Truely, your love for the Filipino was a continuation of Ninoy's.
Madame President Corazon C. Aquino, maraming salamat po. God bless the Filipino people.

Maria Corazon was both my friend and college classmate.

She was a model for us even then. We enjoyed her gift of mimicry, envied her ease in acquiring knowledge, and appreciated her devotion to the principles of Catholicism, her family and her country.

Cory,
So surprised to hear the news of your passing. You might have remembered me from 1987 when you came to Clark Air Base and presented me with a plaque for "raising the level of education for Filipinos..." Thank-you, once again. That tour of duty was simply unforgetable. You were every inch the lady. We talked about when Marcos came to our hospital and I x-rayed him there the year before. "He was a sick man..." you said. Cory, you gave me a real highlight back then and I cherish the memory. Hearing you passed was simply as unbelievable as calculating the many years it's been since that day. I pray for you and give your family my best. God bless you all...

Our Condolence to the Aquino family. We thank you for sharing your mother to the filipino nation. There can never be another Ninoy or Cory in this lifetime. God BLess...

It was my good fortune to visit the Philippines in 1986 not long after Cory came into power. I was deeply moved by the affection Filipinos had for her. Many friends recounted her remarkable campaign and spoke of hope they never felt before.
I was there when she pushed for the ratification of a new constitution, witnessed many televison interviews with people all over the islands and her natural graciousness toward the elite and common folks alike. One of my most memorable moments was celebrating the one year anniversary of the EDSA Revolution and Cory addressed to huge gathering with steadfastness and charm.
She was truly a beautiful person that rose to the task of managing the country after her husband's murder. What a wonderful lady! May God bless her family and cherish the memory of this marvelous human being.

To the Aquino Family, it was a very good time to be alive to have such a great leader in our midst.  She will always live in our hearts and memories.  I never got to meet her but knew of her from a mutual friend who had attended school with her in the US.  She was shared as a kind and loving person as well as as a good, trusted and strong leader.  She made me proud and hopeful as a female.  God welcomed her presence before Him/Her!!!

If We Could Bring You Back Again

If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.

If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.

If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.

May you rest in peace President Cory Aquino. You will be forever in our hearts,

I was seventeen the first and the only time that I saw her in person as she was campaigning for President. Corazon Aquino leaves behind a 'big pair of shoes' for her successor to fill in as a national icon. She has reengineered what an ex-President's role is in Philippine soceity.

I would have preferred that she stayed on with us much longer but, alas, she had already done so much for the filipino people.

My condolences to her family.
