Everyday i think of you and the time we spent together. Although though we were apart coming to West the weekend we spent with each other means more to me than youll ever know. Now you rest with the angels in heaven, and your smile is something that will never escape me and i pray it never does
There is not a day that doesn't go by that I don't think of you. You were such a good friend to me and I will always cherish the memories I have of you.
You died doing what you loved to do, helping others in time of need, you will always be my hero Cyrus and I miss you so much.
It's a sad day to find that my Brother "Billy Rae" Cyrus Reed has passed. Cheers to you! You will be missed.
May the love of friends and family carry you through these dark days. I know that as an Eagle Scout Cyrus learned to follow the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life. He lived to help others and make a difference in the lives of others who he crossed paths with. Cherish the many memories that Cyrus gave us as he grew up to be an outstanding and loving man. I am sure that Cyrus and my oldest son Donald Ray, who died in Feb 2003 are walking the paths in Heaven trading scout stories and watching over us. We must wait till the day that our Lord calls us home to be in heaven with him and our departed sons who are gone from us but not forgotten. As the Compassionate Friends Co-Leader of the Sugarland Chapter my thoughts and prayers go out to Mark and Lucy and the entire the Reed Family as they travel this grief journey. Yet you need not walk it alone. You have friends and neighbors to walk with you. May God give you strength and comfort during this time of grief
I had only met you once, in the flower shop in Hillsboro. Our conversation lasted awhile, but your smile lasted even longer. I talked about your laugh and your smile for days and couldn't get it out of my head. I can't imagine if you touched my heart in those few moments of one conversation with me, how your family and friends must feel right now. You will be missed. Thank you for your courage and for protecting everyone you did.... may you rest in peace with Him now and look down on us from up above.
Sorry for the loss of your loved one.
2 Cor. 1:9 In fact, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death. This was that we might have our trust, not in ourselves, but in the God who raises up the dead.
RIP in peace my dear friend
We have fun times and great memories. Will miss you and always Love you.
He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Praying that all involved find comfort in knowing that Cyrus is home. A true hero!

Curus - My memories of you as a young man in the FFA -
He was a great friend who had a lot of potential in his life. I remember how he would help Kim with the runs to College Station for feed for the heifers and goats. He would always help with all the heavy lifting. He was a great young man who would always make us laugh no matter how bad your day was going. I am proud to have known Cyrus and to have had a friend like him on our side. My your heart rest in peace.

My time with Cyrus was brief but I learned many things about him. He loved his family, he loved God, he lived to be a firefighter, he was intelligent and hilarious with a quick wit, and he would do anything to help anyone. I feel lucky to have known him. To his parents: you raised a truly impressive young man who has impacted countless lives with his laughter, love, and bravery. Cyrus, I know you are in Heaven with that beautiful smile on your face.
May this hero never be forgotten but remembered for his sacrifice....please watch over his family and friends
Our hearts go with you. You shall rest in peace as a hero.

We are deeply sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with your family and loved ones.
We are friends of Cyrus's parents, Mark and Lucy Reed, and were with them at the Old Settler's Music Festival in Driftwood TX when we heard of the fire and explosion in West. We are greatly saddened to hear of his death and offer our deepest sympathies and condolences.
Cy, say hello to Papa Mackey and Uncle Jessie or me. I love you.
Cyrus didn't walk into the building, he ran in. You died saving lives and doing what you loved.
Glad to have known you in middle school and at Elsik High School. RIP Cyrus. Your family is in my prayers during this time of sorrow. May God bless you and keep you.
Mark,Lucy and Sarah
You know that Anne and I share in your grief. We've known each other for years and are all one family. Cy's passing reflects the loss of one "good ole boy" (and you know I mean that with the deepest respect)but his loss and the other first responders probably saved the life of thousands. The times that I was able to spend some time with Cy swimming in the pool at the house to listening to West Texas music, shooting pool and just BSing at the Town and campground are memories that will always be in my heart. I'm so sorry for your los. Rest in Peace until we meet again.
Love you all.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Our sincerest sympathy to your family who with God's grace and support will overcome this terrible ordeal and may you rest in peace.

R.I.P. Cyrus & say hi to my dad for me up there.
I cant stop thinking about you dear friend. I miss you so much. This all still seems like a horrible dream. I am so honored to have your friendship for these few short years. Work will never be the same. Thank you for the wonderful memories. R.I.P. dear friend.
My heart and my prayers go out to your family and friends. You have touched so many lives with your spirit and your love. You are so brave and kind! I will miss your crazy, goofy, beautiful life. You challenge us all to be better citizens and friends on this earth.
