I loved Dan and have many happy memories of his dancing the cha-cha with me and cousin Ceil and especially of his encouraging my journalistic career when no one else in the family took it seriously. He will always be in my heart. I will send you a note soon.
I read the NYT article today and wish to express my sympapthy for your loss. I don't have your address; hence, this e-note. May you be given strength in a difficult time.
All the best, Jerry (from NYHRC)
Thinking of you and remembering Dan's unique and strong spirit that will never be forgotten. I really hope to talk to or see you soon.
Take care until then,
Sincere condolences from old friends when we all lived in West Hempstead, NY.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Remember all the good times we had at the Kentucky Derby!
We'll have those memories forever.
I used to love watching Dan on the old FNN and then the early days of CNBC. I was terribly disappointed when he left. I loved his rapidity, breadth of information, contacts, and style. He will be sorely missed. Frank M. Bifulco, CFA
Our hearts & thoughts are with you at this moment of loss and sorrow.
