We will never forget the first time we were in Honolulu; our highlight was seeing Don Ho's performance at our hotel. His music lured thousands of mainlanders to his beautiful paradise, and we kept going back. WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

we jut recently learned about Don Ho in our Hawaiian history class.I learned a lot and i wish i were there to listen to his music. He had a huge impact on Hawaii. He showed tourists the Hawaiian culture and brought the AlOHA spirit. We should all remember his contributions to our little island. Mahalo to Mr.Ho and a hui ho!!
I met Don Ho years ago, hello and bye. Later on I got to meet him and spend some time and that is what he did, he made everyone feel special. I met him the night I married on the lagoon at HHVillage and used his photographer, who later introduced us to Don. Immediately Don invited us in and we spent the next few hours talking, laughing, drinking saki and having a wonderful time. There was something about the man, something unique that made peope around him happy. I now am one of those babyboomers he talked about, and he is part of my "memory" down my road. I will Remember You and "This our Wedding Day" always. He sung them so beautifully, I can't imagine anyone else having the same effect he had. I know he is in Heaven brightening hearts. I was blessed for having met him. My condolences (just found this site) to his family.
Whether a lifelong friend, an aspiring performer looking for a break, a grandmother from Peoria, or a member of the military, you mattered to Don Ho. In a one-on-one encounter or an appearance before hundreds on his stage, he made you feel special in his genuine "local boy" style.
My Hawaiian shirts site
I lived in Hawaii from on and off from 1965-1968 (U. S. Navy and it was the best time of my life and a part of that was Don Ho and his music...from Duke's through the TV shows etc. his music always reminded me of my "adopted home". The first time I heard him sing "I'll Remember You" I was was hooked and bought the album to send back to Texas. That feeling and his music has never left me. He is missed and truly one of a kind...a true Hawaiian Ambassador!
During our R&R in Honolulu, 1968, we participated in all Don Ho's shows. Each evening Don recognized the servicemen who were at the show. Don also had my spouse come up on stage and sit in his lap while he sang one of her favorate Don Ho songs. I'll never forget that week w/Don Ho at Dukes.
In 1969, when I worked at Crazy Shirts in the Market Place, I so enjoyed listening to Don Ho and the Ali'is warming up behind us there at Duke's. When my sis and parents vacationed in the Islands with me in 1974, I took them to hear Don Ho and had a wonderful evening of "Tiny Bubbles" and fond memories. Mahalo, Mr. Ho, for the silky refrains and soft stage lights.
Don Ho was a very special person and a great voice with his special talent . He was Mr. Hawaii traveling to Hawaii will never be the same may god bless Don"

There has never been a better entertainer; one of the all time regrets of my life is that I never got a chance to meet him.
My deepest sympathy to his family. His music will forever live in our hearts.
To the family of Don Ho and Dayna Ho-Henry, Please accept my sincere condolences at this sad time of their death. I visited Hawaii in 2002. I stayed at the Waikiki Beachcomber and heard Don Ho and his family sing there. He and your family made our visit truly memorable. Thank you for the music and aloha spirit. I will remember you and my wonderful visit to Hawaii forever.
I was extremely fortunate to have grown up in Hawaii from 1949 through 1966 and Don Ho was our "local boy who made good". I was shocked to hear the news that he was gone. My memories of Hawaii and Don Ho are forever. I think his spirit will live on because Don Ho was "no ka oi'" (the best).
To the Don Ho family i truly believe we have lost such a wonderful man and entertainer and so much more. I will miss seeing him when i visit there. I have loved him since i was a child and i will cherish the memories of his show and all the aloha that he gave.Hawaii will not be the same. May god bless all of the HO FAMILY.
Tiny Bubbles....I went with my aunt to Hawaii in 1966 and saw his show. As a teenager, who loved the Ricky Nelsons, I was impressed with the warmth of his voice, his songs stayed with me over forty years. Mr. Ho was a legend in Hawaii and always will be, his warmth, personaltiy and kindness to his fans will be remembered by all who met or heard him. To Don Ho's family, my deepest sympathy, to his friends, all of Hawaii and his fans, my deepest sympathy. Mr. Ho, you will be missed but your music will live on forever. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Don and enjoying his show in 2002. We were impressed by the genuine warmth and friendliness he showed to everyone. Mahalo for sharing Don with us and blessings to the Ho family.
Sincere Sympathy to all who loved our very special singer who took us away from all our problems to a magical place! I am a nurse and friend of his cousin, Ziona WALLACE Huntsman, who adopted Tennessee as her home and is much loved and treasured here. She still can hula and shares her heritage with her friends. LOVE and SYMPATHY, Pat - PJ
I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Don Ho. As a young married wife and mother, I heard the song "Tiny Bubbles" and made the statement I would love to meet that singer and listen to him sing. My husband and I were finally able to go to Hawaii in 1973. Of course, we made a special effort to attend his show. It was everything and more than I wanted it to be! We stood in line for over an hour to get his autograph and lo and behold I also got a big kiss. Some dreams turn out as good as the dream, this one did. Thanks to you and your family for sharing him and his talent with the public. My heart is sad at his loss, but full of joy for the legacy he left us. I am a 67 year old great-grandmother that has shared this story and my 8x10 picture with each generation. You are in my prayers.
I REMEMBER AS A YOUNG GIRL PLAYING HOOKY FROM SCHOOL JUST SO I COULD WATCH HIS SHOW NOT KNOWING NEARLY 30YEARS LATER THAT I WOULD HAVE A CHANCE TO MEET HIM. HE WAS VERY WARM AND LOVING, AND LAUGHED WHEN I TOLD HIM MY STORY. GOING TO THE ISLANS AND NOT SEEING DON FOR ME WOULD NOT MAKE THE TRIP COMPLETE, MY HEART AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY. DON I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
To the Family of Don Ho,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Don was a great musician and well liked.
Don Ho and the Aliis bring back so many memories of the mid 60s in Waikiki. Those were wonderful, carefree times when the Islands were not so crowded and Waikiki was a fun place. Don, may your rascal soul rest in peace and Mahalo for those wonderful times, wonderful songs, wonderful memories.
Aloha to you , my Brother. The life of our people remains intact through our music and songs. Your contribution is a living testimony of our will to endure as the Hawaiian people. We can never thank you enough for the legacy that you have given us through your song and music. Mahalo.
Aloha ke Akua,

Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead. My husband and I were raised around the music of Don Ho, he was and always will be the "king" of Hawaii.
tiny bubbles was my favorite song by don ho when i was just a kid
You will be missed. But now you are a free spirit. God Bless You and yours.
I got married on kauai in 1997' and as we were landing there, Dons wonderful song Beautiful kauai" was
on my CD walkman. He has given so many of us a glimpse of paradise, with his song, his Island generosity
and his sweet soul. May you soar to heaven on the wings of Hawaiian
angels. Aloha Oe' Don
My family will also miss you,Don Ho.I heard him sing "tiny bubbles"
and fell in love with it. When my
daughter was born in 67 I sang it to her,and when my granddaughter was born 94 I also sang it to her
as a lullabye. Eventhough I never
met Don Ho, his song will live in
my heart forever. His beautiful voice will be missed by 3 gener-
ations. Heaven now has another
My lifelong dream was to meet Don Ho, and in 1994 when I married my husband took me to Waikiki for our honeymoon. We went to Don Ho's dinner show and my dream was made. To hear him sing and have my picture taken with "Mr. Hawaii" is a night I will never forget. And the pictures of him and I hang proudly on my wall. He will be missed so. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
You are a great memory to me and my mom who passed away - as you had her up on the stage as she was the oldest great grandmother at your show that night - you are gone but not forgotten. Sincerely
A wonderful talent has been silenced but his music and memory will forever be in people's hearts. He made us feel happy.
Did not know you personally but knew your cousin, who loved you so much. Our sympathy to the family for your loss.
In l974, after your show, I sat on your lap, had my picture taken with you and was so happy to hear and meet you. You will be missed
One of life's cherished memories is of a friendship formed with Don Ho and his Aliis back in 1962 at Honey's in Waikiki, during the year I lived in the paradise known as Hawaii. My deepest sympathy is extended to his family, and to the world of others who loved him throughout the years. We were all blessed to have shared a space in time with him, and shall remember him always with aloha.
I offer my deepest, most sincere sympathies and condolences to the Don Ho family.
For over forty years I have loved listening to the music of this man who charmed and entertained our beautiful Hawaii. When I first saw him in Waikiki, he asked me to get up on stage and "taught me" the hula. What a fantastic gift he had of engaging his audience in such a warm, caring manner.
Each performance I felt swept away by his warmth and personality. The last time my husband and I saw him was on Maui at the Ritz Carlton, when we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and, as usual, he took time to stop and talk to us.
One of my favorite songs is (and he told a poignant story about the man who wrote the song) "I'll Remember You" ... Yes ... Don, I'll Remember you.
Go with God.
Dear Don Ho, We mourn the passing of a most beautiful light and voice in our world and know that it will not be the same without you and your beautiful music. We will listen to your CDs and be comforted that you are now in a much more beautiful place, singing with the angels. The first time I heard "I'll Remember You" and The Hawaiian Wedding Song", the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end-it was love personafied. Aloha nui and Mahalo dear Don
I interviewed Do Ho for my radio show...He was very cooperative and interesting. I took a group there with my radio show...and we all loved him...He will be missed. Sally Hille, Nokomis, Florida
I enjoyed hearing your music as a little girl and seeing your handsome face on TV. My Mother adored you and played your albums by the hour. So when I think of "Tiny Bubbles", I think of my Mother as she would sing along with you...I also came to love your smooth, soft voice. Thank you for what you gave to us! My sympathy to your Family in their time of sorrow. You were too talented to be lost....I'm positive the Heavens are now filled with "Tiny Bubbles"... Bless you.
My Condolences To Don's Family, Friends, As Well As To All Those Who Knew Him And His Music. I Had The Pleasure Of Meeting Him After Seeing His Show On Waikiki Years Ago. He Will Surely Be Missed!
I had the pleasure of seeing DoN Ho twice in Hawaii. Once as a teenager and later as an adult. I fell in love at first sight, came back to Tennesee and bought all his music and was teased by friends constantly for being in love with Don Ho. You know what, I am 46 years old and I still am. Still My greatest thrill was getting called upon stage to dance on his show when I was a teenager. I still have the pics they took and now I will cherish them more than ever. Thanks Don and I will remember you. Cynthia LeCroy, Tennessee
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh My.... What can I say? I've loved Don's music for many years and got the opportunity to see him perform in person back in 1968 while on R&R in Honolulu during the Viet Nam War. It was the most thrilling experience in my life. He was such a gentleman and smooth performer, I felt like he was singing to only me. He was graced with such a beautiful talent, there will never be another like him. I know he is singing to the angels in heaven now and is still making the hearts flutter for all those up there who have ever known his music. May you rest in peace, Don. ALOHA
Please accept my deepest sympathies.
What a loss the world has had with the passing of Don Ho. My husband was stationed in Japan in 1984-85 and had a meeting at Hickman AFB, so I flew over and for 2 weeks. We stayed at the Rainbow Towers there in the Village, so we went to see Don Ho's show. What a man! After the show we got to talk to him and we both got to sit on his lap and had our picture taken with him, something we will never forget. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Don Ho. There will never be anyone to replace this man and in our hearts he rates up there with Elvis. They both are singing together now in the Lord's choir. God Bless all of you!
I have fond memories of Don Ho and the Alii's. As a little girl I loved listening to his music and one of my favorite songs were "A Lover's Prayer", "Sweet Someone", "E Lei Ka Lei Lei", and of course "I'll Remember You". I am now 45 and I still enjoyed listening to his music. You will be genuinely missed as one of Hawaii's greatest entertainer. May God Bless You and Your Family as we bid you a farewell.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Don Ho will be missed I remember when he appeared on the Brady Bunch TV show one year. And he had many other songs beyond Tiny bubbles that he performed that was just as great but, not as highly publisized. My sympathy goes out to the family and good friends of Don Ho, he will be missed.
The Don Ho Family, I so much appricated his music and I thank all of you for sharing Don with all his fans. I'm so glad I got to see Don even had my picture taken with him when I made my first trip to Hawaii in 1999. He is greatly missed."Tiny Bubbles" will live on.
I remember watching Don Ho as a youngster. I really liked him. Prayers go out to his family.
GOD BLESS DON HO,BOBBY& HONEYGIRL, MAUI,HAWAII
I wanted to give my sympathy to the Don Ho Family. I remember watching his TV show every day. Don Ho's beautiful voice transported me to the Islands from my Texas home. My prayers will be with his family. May God Bless you.
How very glad I am that I decided to be in Don Ho's audience in 2005 while in Oahu for a conference. He was absolutely delightful and I knew I was in the presence of a legend. Wonderful, wonderful memories.
Our deepest sympathy to the Ho ohana. We visited HI in May 2002, and "The Don Ho Show" was our first priority. The show was awesome, and we had our picture taken with Mr. Ho (what a treasure!). When he noticed my husband's Penn State shirt, he gave a thumbs up, because the Hawaii (boys) volleyball team had just defeated the Penn State team -- had some fun with that one!
I always watched "The Don Ho Show" on television, in the 70s, and especially enjoyed the Christmas show when he had a pig roast and broadcast on the beach -- they were the best!
We love his music -- always have and always will. The smoothness in his voice is as special as the man who is singing. I'm sure he's part of the great heavenly choir, now.
He is dearly missed -- any future visits to HI will not be the same for us. May God bless you all in this time of sorrow, and may special memories bring you comfort.
I'll remember you, long after this. I saw your show at the Circle Star in Redwood City, Ca in 1971 or 72; anyway, you were the best and I will always remember you!!! Love you, a fan forever.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Ho family. We had the pleasure of enjoying Don's spectacular show at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for our 25th anniversary in 1988. He had his own dinner theater there. We had the chance to have our picture taken with Don. What a wonderful evening we had listening to him sing. Sincerely, Mr.& Mrs. Raymond & Patricia Brunet
Even though my wife and I were only lucky enough to see Mr. Ho in concert twice, we love introducing him to our thirtysomething generation. Thanks to the Ho family for sharing this wonderful entertainer with the world.
Don was a great singer remember him singing to us at a night club many years ago.
I will miss Don Ho singing
Tiny Bubbles which is my favorite song.

I loved to hear him sing...he brought much pleasure with his music.
May he rest in peace!
He sent my special education students free tickets to his show. We just needed to get to Hawaii from Kansas. He also sent a relaxing CD that we used often. I should have expressed my thanks in person and I regret now, not being able to do so. GOOD GUY
To The Ho Family;
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies for your loss. I'm certain that Don Ho is singing with the angels in God's Choir.

May you draw close to God (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18) in prayer, and the Bible promises that "he himself will sustain you."---Psalm 55:22

What a wonderful man and such a loss to Hawaii and to all musicians everywhere.
No doubt, he is singing "Tiny Bubbles" to a sell out crowd in Heaven now.
I am so sorry for your loss. I finally got to meet Don Ho Last year,on my husband and mine 30th. also got to talk to him. He is always special in my heart. Will miss him dearly! But he will live in our hearts forever.
Deepest Sympathy To The Family.
He brought so much joy, laughter and spirit.
Thank you Don Ho!!
Father we entrust our brother Don to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold Don in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest sympathy.
Don Ho was such a wonderful entertainer and his music brought joy to so many. His voice will live on forever in the hearts of us all.
To all who knew Don Ho, and especially to his family,
He was a very special man and a man who gave to all. He was so wonderful to the Vietnam soldiers, and their families as they they visited the island for R&R. He never turned anyone away that wanted to talk, or even harmonize for a moment. His album that he signed for my husband and I will always be treasured as his voice was the sweetest, and I'm sure that God has a new choir voice today.
My parents had the privilege of seeing Don Ho in October of 1978 while on a trip to Hawaii for their 35th Wedding Anniversary, and my Mom even had the chance to be up on stage with him. I still have the picture that was taken with my Mom and Mr. Ho backstage after that show. When my Mom and I made a trip to Hawaii in 1987, we had a chance to see him perform. What an absolutely marvelous entertainer, as well as a very gracious person. Even though his voice has now been silenced here on earth, his music will live on forever. Well done, good and faitfhul servant of the Lord.
To the Family of Don Ho,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you.
We have enjoyed many many unforgetable Don Ho shows. He will always be in our hearts. Take care & God bless.
I was Blessed to have seen Don twice in my life. Once was in Oct of 1968 and the other was July of 2005. Different times, different wars. But Don was go gracious and respectful to the servicemen and their families both times. The character of the man! I love all of Don's music, but have two favorites, "Suck 'Em Up" (I still have the old brown mug)and this one. Don sang this song to "our dearest friends from all over the world when we send them back home." To you, Don, I now say' "You may go. I'll let you go. May God Bless You. You'll be mine, wherever you may be. It's a warning, to say Aloha, for I'll never find another Kanaha like you!"
Thoughts and prayers to your Ohana.
You were unique and Hawaii won't be the same without you. I still have the Hawaiin dress I made especially for your show 35 yrs ago. I will never forget my friend & I singing "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog" on your stage - what a hoot!
To the family of Don Ho:
I just want to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. Mr Ho was so much a part of my childhood. I have such fond memories of his music. I used to sing Tiny Bubbles and Pearly Shells to my own children when they were younger to soothe them. They now sing them to their children, these songs have become tradition for our family. What a legend he is. God bless you!

The Bible gives you hope of seeing Don again right here on a paradise earth in the very near future. It also promise us that our enemy death will be no more. When my daughter was 8 she had a birthday party, the theme Hawaiian Luau. I searched and searched for recordings by Don Ho knowning the only way to make it truly Hawaiian and truly special was to have him 'there'. When I was stationed at Scofield Barracks. 69th Armor , Co. He always sang "pearly shells". I will never forget his smooth voice.

Someday, Don, we will see you.
Thank you for the joy you spread. Three generations of Arnolds thank you and wish you good journey.
My mother and I greatly enjoyed seeing Don Ho in performance during our stay in Honolulu in June 1996. He put on a fun-filled show and was courteous and friendly when we posed for a photo with him afterward and he autographed it. He was one-of-a-kind and will be missed by many.
When Don performs at the Circle Star Theatre in San Carlos, CA in the late 60's I always wanted to hear him sing his favorite song,"Tiny Bubbles". And when he sang "I'll Remember You", in tribute to his great friend, Kui Lee, who also the composer of the song, I have tears in my eyes. Thanks for the memories, Don. And like the song said, "I'll Remember You". We will miss you and your beautiful voice. May you rest in peace.
I have always enjoyed your performance. You will be missed by many of us. Hawai'i won't be the same without you. I am sure you will bring smiles to everyone where you are going to be as you did to us in this world.
Who wouldn't feel bad about this? Don Ho.

Sorry, so sorry to hear about Don., I followed him all the way through his illness, especially was excited during the time he started doing better. I have the exact same type of illness Don had. Such a great Guy, he will be truly missed, but, in heaven looking down upon us.
I enjoyed his music and personality when I saw him on TV. He will be missed.
With my Mother, I watched your show as a child. It took my imagination miles from the farm where we lived and for an hour in the mornings I was there with you in paradise. I look forward to one day meeting you in paradise.
Dear Uncle Don...I know Daddy has greeted you with a "Pehea 'oe, Braddah" and an ever affectionate embrace. He always told my brothers and I about your antics at Kamehameha and the good times you both had in Kaneohe. All our Aloha and prayers to the Ho Family.

My name is Don Holt. Over the years when I was introduced or answered the phone at businesses I worked for, I would be asked, "Like the Hawaiian singer?" Being a salesman at one point I told a lady that I would put on a Hawaiian shirt and sing "Tiny Bubbles" if she would come in and make a purchase.
Don Ho you will be sorely missed. I always enjoyed your music. Aloha.

I loved Don Ho and Tiny Bubbles was one on my favorites songs. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May your memories bring you comfort.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
I am so sorry. My husband and I are going to Oahu in June and really wanted to see him. Best wishes to the family.
Pearly Shells (pearly shells)
From the ocean (from the ocean)
Shining in the sun (shining in the sun)
Covering the shore (covering the shore)
When I see them (when I see them)
My heart tells me that I love you
More than all the little pearly shells
More than all those little pearly shells
For every grain of sand upon the beach
I've got a kiss for you
And I've got more left over
For each star that twinkles in the blue
One of my all time favorites. My daughter used to sing tiny bubbles to her grandpa when she was 2 years old. He will be very missed.

I had the opportunity to see Don Ho in Hawaii several years ago. He has always been one of my favorite singers. My sympathies to his family and to all of Hawaii.
While I'm not too familiar with Don Ho's music, he has always inextricably been tied to Hawai`i to me. My first visit to his home islands is coming up in a few months and I was hoping to hear him perform. I'm saddened to read about his passing, but he has left us with a brilliant history to smile back upon.
You will be greatly missed. We were never lucky enough to see you perform in person but my mom must haved played Tiny Bubbles a million times when I was growing up, and we would see you on all the talk shows of those days. You were a great and funny man. God Bless you and your family at this time. The world has lost a legend.
God Bless Mr. Ho - he was pure class and a fine representative of the Hawaiian culture.
Hard to believe Mr. Waikiki is gone.
As one who brought so much pleasure to so many, Don has moved on to "gigging" in that area of our minds that religions call Holy. Peace to all.
You are now in heaven with the great Kahuna in the Sky and singing to your hearts content. You brought Hawaii to many of us with the sound of your voice and sweet personality. A great big MAHALO and see you in the future my friend.
Our deepest sympathies to the Family. Thank You Mr. Don Ho for the catchy Signature Tune of "Tiny Bubbles".
